I think speaking English well depends on your health or mental condition 'cause English isn't your first language,is it?
All you do is just to try to keep speaking English no matter what's going on.
In my case,I just memorize what I wanna say in English and then, just keep speaking many times no matter when I'm alone. This sounds weird but it's very helpfull when you talk to somebody from a different country.
I mean, when you have a situation, that is like what you've memorized in English, you can speak easily and fluently. That would be great!!
Why don't you try something like this?
Let me know if you have any good advice to improve English.
しゅう,thank you for write a comment.
Yes,English isn't first language.
I'm not good at memorizing,but I'll try.
I really appreciated that you gave me advice.
It's not only English, but motivation for studying anything comes and goes at times. I think the best motivation for learning language comes from how you see it in terms of usefulness. I remember a long time ago I thought about languages like Latin, Thai, etc. to be pretty useless. A few yearslater, and especially when I went to Thailand, I realized that even a simple attempt to make a greeting in the native language made things so much more enjoyable, and made people happy (including myself). After that, I realized that even the smallest things to me are more important to other people.

What I mean is, if you feel that English is not useful at times, then of course at those times there's going to be less motivation for you to study. If you have a desire to use or practice it, there's more desire to study. The easiest way to see this is to go and study or live in another country,or even visit. That time is when everyone tries their hardest, usually. It's often called the 'honeymoon phase', because you treat it like a new relationship; it's exciting, fresh, and every day you find something new and wonderful. Later it can become boring, especially if you achieve a certain level of fluency.

So, I guess my advice is to always try to find something useful about the situation, whether it'sEnglish language study, Japanese language, a relationship with someone and/or your living conditions. Hopefully this is enough to motivate you. When I get demotivated about Japanese, I try to remind myself about how one of my goals was to become a translator, or write a book in Japanese. This usually keeps me from staying depressed if I feel low about having little or no motivation. Also, small tests help keep me motivated, or studying with other people in the same situation.

Hang in there!!
