【翻訳のボランティア】（Translators' room より抜粋）

Looking for translators

We are looking for someone who can help our NPO “Ishinomaki Children’s Refuge Center”, which is established to provide Ishinomaki’s displaced children with psychological care. For now, children in Ishinomaki have enough supplies to survive. However, they are still suffering both emotionally and spiritually. We would therefore like to focus on improving their life by drawing, reading, and doing excise with them.

We still have quite big aftershocks even after the one happened on March 11. So many mentally and physically stressful events are still taking place in Tohoku.

In our website there are many posts which you can read and see what happened on the day March 11, and what is actually going on in the evacuation centers in Ishinomaki and near the area. Shigeki Shibata is the one who established the organization. He is blogging everyday and telling us how kids are doing there.

Shigeki and others in Ishinomaki are doing amazing things for children under these severe circumstances. We would like to share these stories with people who don’t read Japanese, in order to raise the necessary attention abroad, as well. For the time being we’ve got tremendous help from the University of Massachusetts for our translations efforts. However, we are also looking for someone who can join us for a longer term.

We are looking for

■someone who translates from Japanese to English
■someone who proofreads the translations
Unfortunately, we cannot afford to give anything in return, but if you wouldn’t mind, please let us display your name and link your website if you have one on the translators’ page.

にじいろクレヨンでは、なるべく長期でボランティア参加できる方を募集しています。
みなさまの数多くのご支援により、当団体の活動も軌道に乗り、多くのこどもたちの心のケアに励むことができました。

今後も安定的な活動を続けていくため、以下の方のご協力をお待ちしております。

・週1回以上、なるべく長期で継続参加できる方。

・ある程度定期的に、各種小規模イベントを無償で開催していただける方。

※当団体で宿泊地の手配、行政への申請手続などは行えません。

　「にじいろクレヨン」の活動の一環としての開催をお願いします。

シフト調整や事務員の負担軽減のため、現在のところ単発のボランティアはお断りさせていただいております。

誠に勝手ながら、ご了承ください。

なお、活動中や移動中でのケガや病気、器物破損などによるリスクを低減するため、「ボランティア活動保険」の加入を強くお薦めしています。

○保険料：280円〜

○有効期間：翌3月31日まで（当団体以外でのボランティアにも適用されます）

○申し込み窓口：各都道府県・指定都市の社会福祉協議会

※石巻ボランティアセンターでも当日の申し込みが可能です。
