無理やり英語環境コミュのYour Recommendation: Japanese Food

Hi guys,
Today I want to borrow your brains to come up with brilliant ideas.
Suppose your friend from another country came to Japan. You are taking him or her to a restaurant. What food do you want your friend to eat?

Some friends of mine are planning to visit Japan with great expectation. Of course, it is my pleasure to take them around my city. The more they enjoy the time in Japan, the happier I will be.
As a part of their journy, FOOD is soooo important, I believe (that might be because I love food).
Anyway, I want them to eat something they have never seen before. hahaha
Although Sushi, Tenpura are delicious, my friends have known the existance of those dishes. I think that, instead of those dishes, AN encounter with a tatally new dish will make their experience in Japan awesome.

Please give me a hand to come up with Japanese foods which have never been seen in Canada or other countries.

How about local food?? For example takoyaki in Osaka,kishimen in Nagoya and kiritanpo in Akita. These are unique
taste.Some people like these,and some people dislike these.

Where are you from? What is your hometown food?

Those are great recommendations. Kiritanpo is especially unique. My friends have never seen it, I believe.
When it comes to my home town, Tokyo, `Monjyayaki` might be a candidate. What do you think? If I put the looks aside, it's interesting food, isn't it.
I'll keep working on considering this critical matter. haha

Nice to me you Shinya.
How about Tyanko-nabe at ryougoku?
Japan will become very cold more and more.
If your friend will come to Japan in winter,this food isvery good.
And you are happyily eaten with your friend.

Tyanko- nabe is another great idea! I want to eat it first, haha. To be honest with you, I haven't eaten it yet in my life.....I should've eaten it till now....

This is off the truck, but I have heard that we could see `the morning Sumou practice` in the early morning. If this is true, it'll be fun to go seeing the practice then.

Anyway, thank you Naga-san, I now made my mind to go to eat Tyanko next weekend with my friends first in order to see that taste. haha
