I went to Iwasehama with a classmate of mine Healthy by bike yesterday. He's got a new mountain bike recently.
We joined at KNB and bicycled slowly along a canal as taking pictures. It was fair weather, so very good for both of the biking and taking photos. Healthy brought a nifty new single-lens reflex camera. But I just only brought a cell phone with a camera built in.
Just then, it was in the middle of the festival in Iwase. A lot of people gave a pull at ropes of the Dashi(floats). We shot a few pics of Dashi. Its loud screech wheel noise surprised us.
Before noon, we ate buckwheat noodles and drank a few glass of sake for lunch. They were sooooo good!... because of after ride.
In the beach of Iwase, we met Russian mother and baby, and Chinese people. The baby with blond hair was very cute. The water was still cold a bit, nevertheless a couple of Chinese guy were swimming. And we talked to a Chinese girl for a minute. She said that there isn't sea in her hometown Ryoneishou. And she said she loves Japan and she wanna learn Japanese more. I was glad to hear that. I thought her Japanese was good enough.
Local young people were playing the beach volleyball. I got a good feeling on my barefoot on the beach. We were viewing the beach, blue water and the horizon in the comfortable sea breeze for a while. That was a sort of the blissfull moment!
Then we came back and took a bath in a public bath near the Toyama station. We had a really good day.
I'm looking forward to seeing the pics that Healthy took.
I went to Iwase too !
My friends joined Iwase Festival, so I visited them.
I saw Mr.Mori Mayor of Toyama city, he entered Mori's House which is cultural asset as Kaisenn-donnya.
( What can we say Kaisenn-donnya in English ? )
I went to sake storehouse of Masuizumi. It was really nice.
There were lots of sake not only Masuizumi but also other area's sake like Kachikoma (Takaoka), Tengumai(Isihikawa), Kokuryu(Fukui),Hakkaisan(Niigata) and so on. These selection of sake were my favorite!
I took some photo in Iwase.
I would like to see Healthy-san's photo too.
Azarashi
'Masuizumi' is the one of my favorite sake brand.
The sake was just what we drank in the buckwheat noodle restaurant was 'Masuizumi'.
I've never heard that you prefer sake.
Have you seen the festival in that night?
If you've done, how was that?
I heard that it's a rough festival.
I've never seen it in the night.
I wanna hear you about it soon.
and I wanna see your pics too.
I'll explain them....
First one : He said that they looked like Monsieur Iyami's the surprizing pose called ' Sheh ! '
I can't understand the artist thoughts.
Second one : I heard that the cafe called 'Another Holiday' from a certain woman is Katch's favorite place.
We passed the cafe because of another reason.
Last one : It's a Russian cargo boat. It had a lot of second hand cars.
I thought it was obviously overload.
This is REAL literally.
Ted, I didn't see the Iwase's night festival this time, but I've seen the "HIKIAI" in the night. It was a rough and fighting.
I'll tell you the story in Japanese, another time.
I like Shimeharitsuru too, Healthy.
But I've just drunk it once.
I don't remember there was Shimeharitsuru in the storehouse,
a friend of mine saw Shimeharitsuru on the bottom of the shelf.
I'll check it next weekend.
I will send my boss in Osaka Sake for gift, he retire company this month.
So I'm going to present Hokuriku area's Sake selection.
And I like your 『Wonder』 pictures, Healthy.
Ted's explain is also good.
I couldn't realize "Sheh" without Ted's comment. It's funny.
I saw 'Another Holiday' too. It looks retro tea house.
A friend of mine live in Iwase, she said
"The house of 'Another Holiday' used to Soroban school when I was a child !"
Iwase town changed for several years.
Anyway, there are some narrow alley in Iwase. I like walking narrow alley.
I can feel nostalgia in the narrow alley.
Tedさん アザラシさん HEALTHYさん Thank you so much for your nice stories and pictures of Iwasehama.
I think I can't get on a bicycle now but when I was child, I could do it.
I'm not going to Iwase for long time -in fact I'm not seeing ocean in
recent years.

You are enjoying your nautres and your lives from your heart.
Enjoying your life and having a relaxation in your free time are very
good to study English.
How is the Susan class? Is it still big?
She is very very popular.
Our class is very very small. My teacher is not so popular ?? But I'm having a good time in David class.
Yoshiko
I'm sorry to heard that you haven't seen the sea for long time.
I suggest you go to the sea for refresh sometimes, if it's a fair weather.
As you said our class is too big.
I think a small class is better.
You have a enough time to afford to consider and talk .
That's why.
And, I guess It's a bit hard for Susan too.
How about your class?
If you had a interesting topic in your class, please show us that next time.
I'm looking forward to hearing that.
First one : The Dashi drivers were taking a break for a while.
They were drinking a can of beer, and it seemed nobody worried about DUI(drunk driving).
I was extremely annoyed by the loud squeak wheel noise while it moved because it hadn't any bearings in the hubs.
And it seemed to extremely hard to drive the Dashi.
So I guessed they couldn't drive it for long without some booze.
Second one : It's a pathway next to a sake shop to a washroom.
That's the same sake shop where Azarashi has been to.
This is my favorite pathway where I just wanna go through even if I no need to go there.
Last one : It's a old warehouse in back of the buckwheat noodle restaurant we've been to.
I heard the building has renovated to the restaurant from a lumber wholesale store.
I guess it's a remnant of that.
It was good place to lean bikes against the wall and has given us a cool feeling through the window pane while our lunch.
Hi HEALTHY I'm sorry my mail is always late.
I'm very glad to see you are planning some nice events with Ted, for
example BBQ at a sea side. That's great.
Of course I would like to join you. But please make plans on your convenient(good) day. If you decided a day and place, please tell me by mail.
I'm looking forward to see you again.

If you really want to do fireworks, you might have to sleep out.
I prefer a sparkler also known as 'Senkou-hanabi'
It isn't a short-lifetime bogus one, like that you can get easily.
It can make bigger sparkles and has a strong drop of fire.
I used to go to camping about 20 years ago.
I've been to Hamakurosaki with my drinking buddies for camping many times even if in winter.
Then we've taken a bath as drinking beer in there.
You know, I'm good at to make a bath tub of drum can.
Nowaday, I wonder if the caretaker doesn't allow it.
Anyway, Healthy is planning it.
I guess it'll be BBQ in a daytime.
