Aaron: Hello everybody!
Kevin: Hello again. Today we'd like to talk about starting a conversation.
Aaron: That's right, and in American culture, first impressions are very important.
Kevin: So now we will show you an example conversation.
Aaron: So here's the situation, Kevin and I are in a cafe and I notice that he's reading a book, and then I'm going to introduce myself.
--- at the cafe ---
Aaron: Hi! Sorry to bother you, but I was thinking about buying this book. Is it any good?
Kevin: Actually, uh, it's really good! I haven't been able to put it down!
Aaron: Oh great! I'll definitely have to buy it then.
Kevin: Yeah, I definitely recommend it. Um, are you into the stock market at all?
Aaron: Yeah, I'm thinking about starting to invest online.
Kevin: Oh cool. I've actually been investing for a couple of years now.
Aaron: Really?
Kevin: Yeah.
Aaron: Wow, that's neat! Well I'm Aaron by the way.
Kevin: Kevin. Nice to meet you.
Aaron: OK.
