The other night I watched a bio movie about Tina Turner (a very talented American singer in the 60s-70s). Forgot the title, but it was very intriguing. She had a hard life with her abusive husband who was her producer and she becamae a buddhist to have a peace of mind. It was interesting to see her chanting Nam myo horen gekyo. At the divorce court, she gives up all fortune but her stage name Tina Turner (Anna Mae is her real name)! An angry ex-husband comes to intimidate her by pointing a gun at her, but she says that he doesn't deserve her.... She didn't take anything from her ex, but a stage name. "You can't kill me. People come to see me on stage." It was powerful...
I always appreciate an artist's uncompromising effort for a life-time career. It is inspiring.I thought I should share my experience to you...
