ICP Exhibitions Internship
Exhibitions Internship International Center of Photography (New York NY)
The ICP Exhibitions Department offers unpaid internships to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to recent graduates. Internships are available throughout the year for periods of twelve to fifteen weeks, roughly coinciding with school semesters. Applicants must be available to work at least two full days a week. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in photography and to those wishing to pursue a career in museum work.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Excellent communication, organizational, and research skills, computer proficiency, a professional phone manner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required. Applicants experienced or familiar with any of the following are encouraged to apply: - Image Scanning - Macintosh operating system and programs, including Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and FileMaker Pro - Fluency in at least one foreign language - Previous museum or gallery experience - Knowledge of contemporary photography and/or the history of photography - Previous art historical research experience
