Ok, here’s what’s up. Me and my friend were listening to this Weird Japanese song that was supposed to be in English, But we couldn’t understand her cause she ended every ending syllable with the R sound. So we went online to get the lyrics and this is what we found please tell us what you think!!!
This isn't the first English only song to be sung by Japanese (or other nationals, for that matter), and I haven't heard the song itself yet, so I can't say. I'll look it up, though the lyrics don't make the tune look very promising.
I'm not sure what to tell you on the topic of making a song in another language. Maybe it was this artist's dream, in which case I cannot bash them on the effort. Usually artists who do this kind of thing have some semblence of the target language's pronunciation, but sometimes they don't have a clue. Some language training might help before production, but hey. If it's just a gimmick to up sales and/or popularity, then I DEFINITELY think said artist should learn a little more about English phonetics before embarking on such a song.
At the end of the day though, it doesn't really matter to me at all. I'm not going to listen to it (aside from checking it out based on your post).
