This comes with season greetings and warm wishes. I express my deep gratitude and appreciation to all my spiritual friends for giving your love and supports. May your holiday seasons filled with love and compassion.
I am right now in New Zealand where the summer weather is beautiful. Here at Trashi Gaden Choephel Ling center in New Zealand we are learning the 37 Practices of the Bodhisattva and did empowerment of Vajrapani. I will be offering Medicine Buddha and Manjushri empowerment as well. We will begin our New Year with the Purification ceremony at the Center here.
We were fortunate in having the teachings of Nagarjuna's Commentary on Bodhicitta and a public talk on Peaceful Mind from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It was attended by more then 15,000 people and it was an auspicious and precious moment.
In mid- February to Mid- March I will lead pilgrimage in India and Nepal. I will be coming to Japan in April during Sakura season to see you all. In May our 2010 outdoor spring retreat will be held in the forest in Northern Arizona, USA. Medicine Buddha Empowerment, practices on healing Mantra recitation, Meditations with Tibetan balancing Yoga, connecting with nature through hiking meditation and many more spiritual fun will be the focus of the retreat. Sometime in summer I will be going to teach in Malaysia and Singapore. In June I will hopefully be granted visa to visit Tibet. In July I will teach in New Zealand and in October I will go to Taiwan.
My main project for 2010 include the restoration of the Za Gonsar Tashi Gaden Choephel Ling monastery in Eastern Tibet. It is over 320 years old and it is one of my oldest monasteries that survived during the cultural revolution. It is an architectural wonder full of art and historical ritual sitting on the bank of the mighty ZaChu River. With such rich history I am hopeful it can become an open sanctuary, a place of study and spiritual contemplation for any that wish. My other project is to build a dormitory for the my monastery's monks who escape Tibet for advance practice in India and presently struggling with their shelter in Drepung Monastery.
It is with great appreciation I thank you all for your supports.
I wish you all happiness and looking forward for the happy New Year.
With blessing for you and your loved one’s good health, long life, and peacemaking, both in your life and global.
