Nearly three-quarters of all Americans think the economy is in a recession, according to a national poll released Monday.Seventy-four percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey say the economy has entered a recession.

That figure is up from 66 percent who felt that way in a similar survey last month. The number stood at 61 percent in January and 46 percent in October.

It's no surprise then that the economy remains the key issue in the public's mind.

By a 2-1 margin, it tops the Iraq war as the No. 1 issue for Americans in their choice for president.

By a 2-1 margin

Thanks for the comment. I was not sure how many people are still interested in this community.

Anyway....

Could you read this sentence again aloud. It may not sound the way you meant....

By the way, most of people who want to brush up on thier English have no goal, I guess.
However, I was one of those people, honestly.
Without any distinct goals, such as TOEFL, traveling abroad, working in English, it is so hard to keep motivation and carry on studying English.

So,in the begining, shall we present which kind of oppourtunities we can get if we study English?

Also, according to my English teacher, to get English, we have to struggle with it.
Hime-san, don't hesitate to give us difficult questions.
Overcoming hard tasks makes us to improve our English.

Hello. Ossan-san.

Thanks for posting a comment. I really need to start working hard to make people interested in this site, right? What your teacher told is correct. Whatever the thing you are pursuing, there is no short cut. It takes time, effort and money to excel in any area... I am still learning and struggling.

>Also, according to my English teacher, to get English, we have to struggle with it.

I didn't like the part "to get English". It doesn't sound like an English sentence. It sounds like a direct translation from another language. I know what you want to say, but please try to rephrase it...

I will think of something to attract more people. Let me know if you have any idea!
>Also, according to my English teacher, to get English, we have to struggle with it.

To improve our English skill, we have to struggle with it.
To brush on our English, we have to struggle with it.
