Okay, Okay~

So I started working at High School. My first assignment is to produce class material and lesson plans for all the freshmen English classes.

I am not sure as to there level but I would assume it is very close to beginner.

The school academically is considered "middle of the road" and many teachers, I fear, feel that the student's aptitude is not very high.

I disagree. I think High School students across the board have problems socially that we adults all too often tend to forget. It is a very difficult time in one's social development and we should be considerate of the needs of all the students.

I think with high energy and effort we can really raise the bar and help my classes enjoy and develop strong oral communications skills.

As for where to begin or what approaches to take; I have a lot of opinions and options. If anyone still reads this group, please post some comments and ideas that you might have.
