Just as yesterday's email from HMS IT described a fraudulent scheme to capture HMS passwords, today there is a new risk, a falsified email that suggests a critical update needs to be installed.
If you receive the following message (see below) from "Microsoft Corporation" urging you to install critical Windows updates, please disregard it. Microsoft does not send live updates through email. When in doubt, delete emails from unknown sources or forward suspicious emails to the IT Help Desk at help_desk@hms.harvard.edu.
