will present
The Human Superorganism Social Networks, Emotional Stampedes, and Genetic Community
Dr. Christakis has spent years researching how emotions, obesity, and other phenomena spread through social networks. Hear him explain how and why such networks develop, and what that means for our lives. Dr. Christakis will also discuss new work on the genetic determinants of social networks, and will make the argument that, in assembling into social networks, humans form a type of “superorganism” that can be understood in biological terms.
