Whether you have stage fright or stage might, Toastmasters is a public speaking group created to provide encouragement, feedback, and commentary for every level of speaker.
Longwood Toastmasters is a new chapter of Toastmasters International. We hold biweekly meetings at Harvard Medical School and welcome anyone from the Longwood Medical area who has access to Harvard buildings.
Join us to be challenged in areas such as:
* Improvisation * Speech organization and flow * Proper grammar and word usage * Increasing vocabulary * Effectively conveying complex ideas * Eye contact and appropriate involvement of audience members * Delivering informative, entertaining, and succinct speeches within a time limit
So how can you get in on the action?
Guests from Harvard affiliated institutions in the Longwood medical area are always welcome!
Our next meetings will be on: * June 25th from 6:00-7:30pm, Harvard Medical School's TMEC, room 209. * July 9th and 23th from 6:00-7:30pm, Harvard Medical School's TMEC, room 209. * ...you get the idea. Our regular meeting time is every other Thursday from 6pm to 7:30pm year-round, but our location can change so keep an eye on this site http://longwoodtoastmasters.com/.
