We currently seek a Manager, Strategy & Operations to join our Strategic Alliances team in Cambridge, MA.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations, this position interfaces with Directors of Strategic Alliances (SA) supporting disease and functional areas and focuses on the management and improvement of the deal review and approval process, SA communication, the external research portfolio, strategic analyses, support of in-licensing and special projects. In addition, the candidate will:

• Research and collect scientific and business information and data, perform independent data analysis and synthesis to support key decisions
• Support the assessment of scientific and financial validity of alliance transactions and assist in the screening, identification, analysis, negotiation and execution process
• Help to prepare presentations for senior management
• Responsible for in-licensing technologies and compounds to support New Indication Discovery Unit (for indications outside of current NIBR disease area strategy). Negotiate all contracts including licenses, research collaborations, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.
• Preparation of strategic, financial and scientific analyses, including briefings for senior management
• Support for SA’s infrastructure by maintaining the SA team space, analyzing collaboration data, organizing SA and committee meetings, and writing minutes to communicate decisions and to ensure alignment of the group across all disease areas and global line functions.
• Responsible for maintaining Strategic Alliances yearly budget
• Support for the assessment of scientific and financial validity of alliance transactions and assist in the screening, identification, analysis, negotiation and execution process
• Leadership of cross-disease area projects and competitive intelligence assignments, such as analysis of certain life science sectors, strategic fit with NIBR, and deal trends.
