HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows Event: Postdoc to Postdoc Mentoring - Academic Job Search
This is the first part of a two-part series on the academic job search process for postdocs. Come hear from a panel of fellow postdocs who have been "on the market" discussing their experiences (both good and bad) on searching, applying, landing, and negotiating a faculty position. This is an informal event intended to provide you with the opportunity to learn from those that have gone before you! Hear what other postdocs think about the process, do's and don'ts, flops and successes - hopefully with a good dash of humor (a mandatory requirement for surviving the job market).

The second part of the series will be held early fall and will include a panel discussion from HMS faculty who have recently served on junior faculty search committees. The informal panel will help shed light on the often unknown world of search committees and what makes a candidate stand out amongst a field of qualified candidates.
