「エリック・クラプトン〜12小節の人生〜」彼自身が語る

少しでも若いころに触れた音って懐かしいのね。
彼の名前がついた試写会の葉書を頂いて見たとたんに
これは絶対に行こう！って決めた。

私ですら、ギターの神様と知っていた。
あの指捌きの驚くような細かさと豊饒な音。
そして彼自身が彼の人生を語っていく。
ロック好き、ギター好きのかたにはたまらないだろう。

前半、母親との確執はあるが、いろんな仲間と出会って、
グループを作って、活動の場を広げていくあたり、
いきいきと音楽を楽しむ青年時代の姿が見られる。

しかし仲間と意見が合わず解散し、
また新たなバンドを組み…と目まぐるしい。
それだけ主張もあり、

人妻のパティ・ボイドへの恋。ホントに好きだったら止まらない。
そこへ突き進んでいくのね…とハラハラさせられる。

麻薬、酒、お決まりの誘惑に沈んでいく後半はつらい。
仲間も亡くなっていく。離婚、そして愛児の転落死。

彼が愛児に語り掛けるような歌の哀切なこと。
天国で君（息子）と会ったら僕の名前が分かるかな
それって同じなんだろうか
僕は強く頑張って生きなくちゃ
天国は僕の属している場所じゃないから。

無垢のまま亡くなった我が子と、
清らかとばかりは言えない自分と。
愛児を想う哀切なお父さんの気持ちに溢れる。

ただ、私のようなファンじゃない人には、
ドキュメンタリー映画としてはちょっと長いかも。
