I'm looking for a mouse door stop which is a traditional handcraft made by British or Australian women. (Actually not sure who started.)
When I stayed at a countryside of Perth in 2000,I saw many of them.
Almost each family had one at least.
The 40cm mouse was wearing a lovely dress, had a long tail, and very heavy weight.
I asked people but they did't realy know about the Mouse door stop.
They said their grandmother used to make it for children.
I was so interested in and wondering if I could have one for souvenir,
but I was too shy to ask at that time. Now I regret that I didn't ask.
Since then I've been still dreaming to meet my mouse.
This photo on top is a Mouse Doorstop which is really similar type I've seen before.
I have a Bear Doorstop ,which I bought at local town festival in Armadale ,suburb of Perth
WA.

I was so surprised by what I saw.
It looked like a mouse doorstop, slightly different, then realised it was a bear.
The woman who made it told me that the bear doorstop was Scots traditional.
She didn't know about mouse doorstop.
I bought one from her only for $10 ,I was so happy even if it was hard to take back Japan.
When I visit Australia next time,I will look for a mouse again.
If someone know about the mouse doorstop, Please mail me.
