LOST starts, like it always does, at the end of September. There will be 6 straight episodes through until November, then a 12 WEEK BREAK before the remaining 17 episodes with no repeats starting again in February.
Now those 3 week breaks are starting to sound pretty nice...
People who complained unmercifully about the winter &
regular 3-week breaks are now seeing what it's like
when they get 'em all at once. Essentially they ruined
it for the rest of us.
The standard winter and 3 week breaks are a LOT easier
to handle and spread the episodes out at a much nicer
pace so that they're with you through most of the
year.
This way it's basically two runs and then back to more
waiting.
And I'm one of those that bitched about the sporadic 2-3 week breaks during Season 2.
It's good to know this is what's going to happen. What I will do is NOT watch those 6 episodes (will tape them) until February '07. Then, after getting a 6-episode hit, I will be able to enjoy Lost S03 weekly from then on. Much better than the constant loss of momentum that I experienced this past season. And it's a good compromise between that and waiting for the DVD to come out so that I can watch all 24 episodes at once . . . something I was contemplating on doing anyway for Season 3.
So people like us may have ruined it for some, but at least I'm satisfied with what our bitchings have brought about ;-p
Well, it's all personal choice but talk about loss of
momentum. A few weeks of episodes and then dead for
twelve?
Not to mention it's all over in one shot. Whereas LOST
was going for most of the year, this time it will be
in two spurts that ultimately....result in more
waiting.
