The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 3:15 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Colo, Lake Burragorang, Nattai, Oakdale, the northwest parts of the Wollondilly Shire and Thirlmere. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Camden, Campbelltown, Oran Park, Picton, Warragamba and Wedderburn by 3:45 pm and Sutherland, Fairfield, Horsley Park, Liverpool, Penrith and Helensburgh by 4:15 pm.
Damaging winds, large hailstones, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding are likely.
