I just started mixi yesterday. I am not native English speaker, but I lived in the States for 6 yrs. Now I'm married to Japanese husband and have 2 sons. I teach English twice a week at home.

I like American TV shows, especially sit-coms like Friends and Dharma and Greg. I used to love the late show with David Letterman, but they don't air it in Japan!!! Sad.

But anyway... I don't know what you guys are into, but if you like TV or have children or teaching English... well, if you have anything in common with me, I would really love to get to know you!

Hi hikatan. Are you a fan of Seinfeld too? We basically have the same interest and lots in common. My name is Chris, I'm married with my Japanese girlfriend and going to school to become an English teacher. Next time I watch David Letterman, I'll tell you what happens.

I lived in England for 9yrs, I'm a mum of 2 boys and teaching English at A**N, sometimes at elementary school.
Is that enough in common to get to know you?

Welcome to the group, Hikatan. (I think we joined the same day). I've watched a lot of "Friends" too. And now I'm watching season by season--almost done with season three. Last night I saw The One with a Chick and a Duck. I'm a Letterman fan too, but sadly haven't been able to watch him recently. Sometimes I catch the top ten list online.

As you probably saw from my self-intro, I have kids and also teach so I'm sure we'll have plenty in common. Nice meeting you.

Yes! I'm so happy to be able to find you guys whom
do have lots in common!

I was watching Sienfeld when I was back in the States
(long long time ago...), but I can't watch it now, Chris. When you watch David Letterman, please let me know!

And WOW! Yummy Yumi! Yes! We do have soooo much in
common! Having 2 boys can drive you nuts sometimes,
doesn't it!? How old are your boys? Are they as crazy as
mine??

If I remember this correctly, ジェレミー, you have a
Japanese wife? When I was in the States, this guy told
me there's a saying that it's the best way for men's
life if you had a Japanese wife, lived in Germany, and
ate Chinese food? You got one down, right??
