well can you tell me more about the tokyo sightseeing
tour?
what would be the options when joining you the 27th?
where and how could we have a stay for the night?
I don't want to be bitchy :D but having 2 small
children can be quite a hassle ;) as i had to discover
! especially if we try to get them to sleep when lots
of possible sources of excitation are around (e.g.
people).
so if we don't want to have especially my son running
around screaming all night, we would need for him some
calm and closed environment, and secured if possible,
he is in an age where he want to touch
everything.....
as i discovered he is indeed able to hold up a whole
night using micro-sleep (makes pauses between 30s et
3min).
when he has sufficient sleep my son is really calm and
nice otherwise !
alternatively how would the option of joining the tour
the 28th look like?
and other points, we are coming the 16th, the first 2
days my brother in law takes us to a rotenburo, on his
last 2 days....
afterwards we will have plenty of free time, especially
since i have to get up very early for my
aikido-session.... but modulated by the needs of our
children (reason why we choose to stay at an apartment
in Tokyo for the 2 weeks).
So somewhere in that time we plan a day-trip to Kyoto,
if we manage some accomodation there a 2 day trip. And
somewhere a trip to Kanazawa, as it seems also a 1 day
trip, since my contact there got scared by hosting a
whole family :D
so if maybe you know people who would like, to show us
around, that would be really nice, nothing fancy we
don't need a full guided tour, just someone showing
us their city for a few hours! i speak a little bit
japanese, enough to not loose myself completely or to
order some basic food ;) so we don't need someone with
perfect english either ;) besides my wife speaks really
badly english :D
and if you have someone who wants to speak french,
italian or german feel free to send them to us (those
are my mother-tongues, so i am confident in my skills
there ;) !
and if ever you know a japanese family who don't mind
having their child play a little bit with my 22month
old son, allowing him eventually to develop some
hearing of japanese, that would really be great! For
me too, since my japanese is really awfull....
ok, this got quite long, i am sorry!
i have to admit that so far i got no positive answer
from other CS'ers for our japan-stay this time....
