The police discover the body of a calculus professor. Critical to soving the crime is determining when the murder was committed. The police call Grissum who arrives at 12pm. He immediately takes the temperature of the body and finds it to be 94.6 degrees. He waits one hour, takes the temperature again, and finds it to be 93.4 degrees. He also notes that the temperature of the room is 70 degrees.
We know that the rate of change of the temperature of an object(with respect to time) is k(T-R), where T is the temperature of the object t hours after being placed in some other environment and R is the temperature of the other environment.
Use CALCULUS to find T as a function of time and use that to find when the murder occurred.
Note:You may choose t=0 to be any time you want, but this problem is EASIER if you let t=0 be the time Grissum arrives.
