I became a member now! I have to make 3-4 minutes ice breaker speech in my management class next Monday and I am already nervous about it. I have started to write my draft and practice it. Even it is only halfway of my speech, it has already reached 3 minutes. Organizing my thought within a limited time is so difficult…. Especially, when I have to deliver a speech in English, I need to pay attention to speak slowly. I don’t know what to do. I do not want to cut down my story. Maybe I should change the subject.
From my experience of listeng to many ice breakers, it is strongly recommended to reduce the items of your speech to just one major thing and one or two minor items. The minor one(s) can be omitted if you see the umber signal of the timer and run directly to the closing. Having "Kirishiro" makes you feel less nervous about time management.
I have finished my ice breaker speech couple days ago.
I was very nervous, so I spoke very fast. I do not remember what I was talking about....
The evaluation says, I need to work on my introduction and conclusion.
I will try to make it better on the next presentation. :)
