Over my time in Japan I've seen and/or bought many different versions of his book. Some of the covers are incredibly beautiful and make me want to buy them more, even though I already have a copy of it. What are you're favourite covers? By that I mean, what company do you think has the best artwork? Also, what book cover itself is your favourite?
Here are some examples of the cover art. The two main companies producing the books and covers are
1. Vintage
2. Vintage International
I personally like the new, black and white covers by Vintage because they have beautiful photos and the black and white makes them very beautiful to look at. Compare the Kafka on the Shore in both cases. Some older 'Vintage International' books are nice, like 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle' and 'A Wild Sheep's Chase', but some are very unattractive, in my opinion.
