It is horrible outside! Minutes ago I heared a hissing of a Palestinian
Kassam, then another one accompanied with an explosion; it seems that the
second one received a bomb from an Israeli aircraft that could have targeted
the Palestinian group! In the news now, Israeli Apatchi targeted a
recreation ground with fish ponds! Shifa hospital stated that there is more
than 195 dead bodies and more than 570 injured there! Every minute the
number of casulties rise up. Those figures are in Gaza, and there are still
no official statements from other towns, villages and refugee camps! Near my
apartment my youngest son was waiting for his school bus when the former
preventive security department was hit. 5o meters from where he was standing
two men and two young girls died immediately!
Its ustterly dark night now. I am operating a small generator to contact the
world via internet.

As of this writing, Israeli Air Force attacks today on
the occupied Gaza Strip killed an estimated 200 or more people and injured
hundreds more. These Israeli attacks come on top of a brutal siege of the
Gaza Strip, which has created a humanitarian catastrophe of dire proportions
for Gaza's 1.5 million Palestinian residents by restricting the provision of
food, fuel, medicine, electricity, and other necessities of life.
While the scope of civilian casualties in today's
attacks is not yet clear, it is unmistakable that Israel carried out these
attacks with F16 fighter jets and missiles provided by the taxpayers of this
country. From 2001-2006, the United States transferred to Israel more than
$200 million worth of spare parts to fly its fleet of F16's. In July 2008,
the United States gave Israel 186 million gallons of JP-8 aviation jet fuel.
Last year, the United States signed a $1.3 billion contract with Raytheon to
transfer to Israel thousands of TOW, Hellfire, and "bunker buster" missiles.
In short, Israel's lethal attack today on the Gaza Strip
could not have happened without the active military and political support of
the United States. Therefore, we need to take action to protest this attack
and demand an immediate cease-fire.

constructed by the British army during the mandante' was hit; target was the
prisons where there were civil and security prisoners were kept! A friend of
mine, a medical doctor at Shifa hospital told me that death toll has climbed
to approximately 500 though the media mention 280 dead, and more than 1000
injured! The escallation now is at Rafah border with Israeli aircrafts
operating at Rafah border to destroy tunnels. Humdreds of the Palestinians
stormed the Egyptian border with a buldozer and on foot but failed to enter
to the other side as the Egyptians shot live at them.

together by air bombing.
14- Several police stations were hit again.
15- Journalists and reporters were officially informed by Israel to stay in

16- Two hospitals were targeted. Fata hospital is still new and did not
start working but hit from air, andother small private hospital, Al-Weaam in
Tel el-Hawwa was targeted as well!
17- Biet Hanoun municipality building was destroyed last night.
18- Rafah governorate building was demolished last night.
19- Rafah municipality building was targeted last night.
20- Hashash neighbourhood in Rafah was attacked twice last night. Each time

A military Israeli caller threatened bombing one building at Shifa hospital
tonight, a matter which caused real panic for more people.

今晩の猛爆撃がたった今始まった。民家や政府関連の場所が狙われている。またもテル・エル＝ハワが狙われている！ベイト・ラヒア、ジャバリーヤ村、ハーン・ユーニス、ラファにも攻撃。イスラエルはラファ国境地帯のトンネル２００本を破壊と発表した。
ある男性は攻撃のひとつに巻き込まれ、まる１日行方不明となり、家族は３日間、喪に服した。今日、その男性がシファー病院の集中治療室で存命中であることが判明した。スドゥキ・ハンマードだ！

幸いなことに、ほんの１０分前に、この５日間で初めて電気が復旧した。ガザは今、午前零時。無人機の唸り声が耳障りとはいえ、ミサイルがそこらじゅう、目と鼻の先やはるか彼方にシャワーのように降り注ぐことに比べれば何でもない。
２０分前、付近で軍用ヘリによる攻撃があったが、どこだか場所を特定できない。燃えた家は、近所にある政府関係の建物の近くだ。私が住んでいるテル・エル＝ハワーは政府関係の建物が数多く集まっている地域だ。それらの建物の多くが一度ならず攻撃されている！今やガザの８０％以上が停電している！
実を言えば、ガザのいたるところでパニックが起きている。多くの民家が、故意あるいはその他で、攻撃されているのだ。ガザに対する今回の軍事攻勢で４２人の子どもたちが殺された。これらの子どもたちがハマースの活動家でロケット弾を発射しているというのだろうか！
ハマースのアル＝カッサーム旅団には１万２千人がいると思う。その中核は、まだ何の戦闘もしておらず、依然、士気と強度を保っている。一方、主たる犠牲者は警官隊、民間の労働者、子どもや学生をはじめとする無辜の人々だ。イスラエルが攻撃しているのはホテル、スポーツセンター、空き家、パスポートの発給や税関、税務に使われていた政府関係の建物である。彼らは庁舎や、ガザではまだだが、町々や村々の役所を攻撃している。彼らはまた１０のモスクを攻撃し、うち６つは完全に破壊された。だが、いずれの場合も、モスク周辺は著しい害を被った。ジャバリーヤ難民キャンプではある家族の５人姉妹が、モスクの壁が崩れ落ち、瓦礫の下敷きになって殺された。

Raid are still going on in Gaza Strip. More raids on Khan Younis. Lats night
more than ten raids on Khan Younis. Two of it were on the building of Khan
Younis governoate. In Gaza an old mosque in Shejaiah (East of Gaza) was hit
and demolished. In the north of Gaza, an aircraft his a cart drawn by a
donkey to kill a family that were leaving the place to save their lives. The
irony is thta it was claimed that they hit a car loaded with GRAD rockets!
That poor family had their belonings with them on the donkey cart! Every
hour more civilans dies by Israeli bombs. There was a another raid at the
Islamic University again, and the former Preventive security deparmtent
compunds again. Building at Al-Azhar Univeristy inflected damages too.
Israeli aircraft are still flying in the sky over our heads. We expect more
action against Gaza tonight! The Palestinians in Gaza do not have any kind
of anti-aircraft weapons! This is the start of 2009. This is the Happy New
Year and the final words of the failed and shameful Bush's administration
and democracy!,
Yesterday witnesses large demonstrations in Cairo. Protesters shouted
slogans against President Hosni Bubarak calling him traitor, and Death to
Mubarak, Israel go out of the land of the Nile, and other hostile
statements!

a recorede speech gives warnings to its participants to be aware of phone
call and mobile phone calls from outside Palestine in a threat of Gaza
citizens! I do not know but someone from outside tried to contact me but
mobile net is broken because there is no electricity around and I operate a
generator to keep contact with the outside world. Different kinds of Israeli
drones did not leave our skies at all. Just now, there was a targeting of
somewhere around us. Because of the large number of bombings, we are no
longer able to distinguish where it falls. This is only in Gaza, let alone
other areas. In the local media there are news of Israeli land-land missles
shot at al-Buraij refugee camp and some artilery shells east of Khan Younis.
To the east of Gaza Wadi (Gaza Wadi small village) one reisdent home was bo!
mbed from air; two died and others injured in the blast! Death toll official
number has risen to 390 and the injured is about 1800 persons, with a great

Tonight's heavy bombing has just started with targeting homes and other
governmental places. For the second time, targets in Tel Elhawa! Other raids
on biet lahia and Jabalia village, Khan Younis and Rafah. Israel menioned
demloishing 200 tunnels at Rafah border area. One man was lost in day one of
the attack, his family held a mourning for three days. Today he was found
alive in ICU at Shifa hospital. He is Soudki Hammad! I cannot tell more
about the new wave of raids. One civilian home is burning right now!

Thanks Prof miriam cooke (Duke University) for your warm feelings and
genuine concern. Fortunately, I have just received electricity for the first
time in five days, only ten minutes ago. Its 12.00 a.m. in Gaza now. Sound
of drones buzzing is annoying but that is just nothing when the missles
shower here and there; near me and in the distance. 20 minutes back, there
was an attack by a military chopper nearby, but I could not decide where it
was. The house that was burnt is located near a governmental building in my
neighbourhood too. I live in Tel el-Hawa where many governmental buildings
are located. Many of them where hit more than once! Now 80% of Gaza is
without electricity! To tell you the truth, panic is everywhere in Gaza as
so many homes were hit whether intentionally or otherwise. 42 children were
killed in the offensive on Gaza. I wonder if those children where Hamas
activists and rockets launchers! I beleive that 12 thousand Hamas Al-Qassam
Brigades! hard core are still holding firmly and strong as they haven't yet
gone into any fight. Meantime, the main losses were in the police force and
civilan workers and innocent people including children and students. Israel
hits hotels, sport centers, empty homes, governmental buildings like that
one used for passports issues and another one used as a custome house and
taxes authority. They hit municipality buidings and governorates buildings
in the towns and villages but not in Gaza yet. They also targeted about 10
mosques, with 6 of it were totally destructed, but mosques neighbours in all
cases were badly hurt. InJabalia refugee camp 5 sisters of one family killed
under rubble as the mosque's wall collpsed on them.
Tis is a little of much to be written on what has been going on at Christams
time when people all over the world, even Muslim countries are supposed to
spend great time.

Tonight's heavy bombing has just started with targeting homes and other
governmental places. For the second time, targets in Tel Elhawa! Other raids
on biet lahia and Jabalia village, Khan Younis and Rafah. Israel menioned
demloishing 200 tunnels at Rafah border area. One man was lost in day one of
the attack, his family held a mourning for three days. Today he was found
alive in ICU at Shifa hospital. He is Soudki Hammad! I cannot tell more
about the new wave of raids. One civilian home is burning right now!
Horrible!

2009年元日のガザはどのような姿か？
死がガザを覆い尽くしている。嘆きと悲しみが2009年という新年の挨拶なのだ。
血と大量の死体の匂いがする！毎分のように悪い知らせが新たに届く。
爆発音、爆撃、ミサイルの飛来音、崩壊、荒廃、イスラエルの無人機、
アパッチヘリその他の軍用ヘリ、Ｆ１６型戦闘機、足元を揺るがす大地。
破壊の跡がいたるところに。死体、千切れた四肢、泣き叫ぶ子ども、
幼子や夫を探し求める母親。
どこに行けばいいのか、どこに隠れればいいのか、誰にも分からない！
イスラエルの攻撃のもとでは、安全な天国などどこにもありはしない。
市民社会の施設さえ標的にされた。法務省、教育省、文化省が破壊された！
モスクも手ひどくやられた。うち６つは過去のものになってしまった。
これらモスク周辺の何十という家も蹂躙され、粉砕された。
人々は死に、また傷ついた。今日、2009年1月1日までに、攻撃で2000人以上が負傷し、
420人以上が殺された。この数字には50人を上回る子どもたちが含まれている。
今日、ガザ市だけで、20回以上の空襲が実行された！最後の攻撃で、
ジャバリーヤ難民キャンプの4階建ての建物が破壊され、少なくとも15人が殺された！
このメッセージを書いているさなかにも、ガザ市北部、シェイフ・ラドワーンで5階建ての建物が
数分前、イスラエルの軍用機によって粉々に破壊されている！
爆撃についてこれ以上、書き続けることができない、たった今、3回目の大爆発が起こった！

the past. Dozens of the homes around those mosques were devastated and
shattered; people dies and injured. Until today, the first of January 2009,
more than two thousands were injured and more than 420 have been killed in
the attack. This number included more than fifty children. Today, more than
20 air raids were executed on Gaza city only! The latest of the attacks
destroyed a four floor building killing at least 15 people in Jabalia
refugee camp! As I am dispatching this message, 5 floors building has been
demolished in Sheikh Radwan to the north of Gaza city, by an Israeli
warplane minutes ago! I cannot follow up with the news of bombing with a
third large explosion right now!

20 air raids were executed on Gaza city only! The latest of the attacks
destroyed a four floor building killing at least 15 people in Jabalia

demolished in Sheikh Radwan to the north of Gaza city, by an Israeli
warplane minutes ago! I cannot follow up with the news of bombing with a
third large explosion right now!

more that 15 hours so far. Tanks, artillery, warships. Hussain Odah al-Aiedi
(58 years old), a UNRWA employee, is stuck in the center of the fight.
The Israeli tanks move in a circle of more than one kilometers around his
house. He was shelled at 10:30 p.m. last night. Five of his fmily members
have been injued and in bad condition. No one except the Israeli tanks cn
reach him. There is no electricity, water or food in his house. His family,
mother and the families of two brothers of his are packed in one room. They
are more than twenty people. Hussain need urgent aid and evacuation of the
injured.

him an ambulance to evacuate the injured and if possible, the rest of the
family, have failed so far! At a circle of more than one and half kilomteres
the Israeli army is in total control, thus no one can reach Mr Al-Aiedy
except the Israelis! This situation needs an urgent humanitar! ian action by
human rights organizations from anywhere! There is no electricity, water and
a little food in Gaza. I am still taking the advantage of a generator that I
operate by diesel to contact the world. Bombs fall like shower on us.

Subject: Rain of missles and utter darkness in Gaza
In Gaza, we are caught in a rain of missles and a barage of artillery
shells! Its totally dark right now but it is interrupted by a buzzing sound
of unmanned planes and heliocapters. Streets are deserted! Between now and
then, we hear sirenes of ambulances and fire brigades! Civilians flee their
homes in the north of Gaza towards the west of the city, and they flee from
Zaitoun neighbourhood to the Western parts! Civilains are vulnerable and who
cares! They are unprotected at all. Today, three paramedics dies while
trying to save lives. The dy before yesterday one medical doctor and a
paramedic were killed too. Tonight, all mobile phone net have been totally
paralyzed now. Land telephone lines are bad, but it is working! Before dawn,
clouds of black smoke were everywhere in Gaza skies! Oooooops. right now,
land shakes under us! Booooooom!

Half an hour back, two missles targeted an apartment nearby my home; it was
horrible and deadly; my children cried out of fear! I was plying cards with
my children to put them in an atmosphere of normal life. In the blast, two
men died and two others injured. Its the same place where 4 people killed in
day one with the first attack on the preventive security aparatus compound.
In Gaza, last night was so horrible with more than 60 air raids, added to
non-stop tanks and artillery shelling to different places everywhere! No
place is safe at any moment in Gaza! Words stand short from descirbing the
horrors we have been through those days. Last night was one of the toughest!
There was no moment of quiteness in the daytime or sleep at night!
In Rafah, 80 homes were hit by heliocapters! There were sporadic targetings
of other parts in Khan Younis, Al-Maghazi refugee camp, Al-Buraij refugee
camp. Jabalia village, Beach refugee camp. The death toll ! is on the rise
with more than 30 died today let alone the injured. Among the dead was an
UNRWA truck driver as his truck was hit too. Another UNRWA employee was
injured. So far 10 paramedics lost their lives while working to save lives
of others! Death tool jumps up to 800 anf the injured to more than 3100.
Gaza poorly equipped hospitals are unable to manage those casulties.

みなさんの努力と支援に感謝しています。家族も私も無事です。
昨夜、攻撃目標になった小児病院は、ガザ市北部にある 「ムハンマド・アル＝ドゥッラ病院」 だ。 また UNRWA の学校が昨日、ハーン・ユーニスの町で、攻撃目標にされた。民間人こそ最大の被害者だ。
友人一家から今しがた聞いた話だ。引退した年配の元 UNRWA 職員の夫婦、アフメド・オスルフ （73歳） と妻のサミーラ（66歳）、 そして娘のアリージュ （25歳） はアパートの８階に住んでいた。隣の建物の激しい爆風で床に叩きつけられ、破片がアパートのなかに。 アパートはゆがんで危険な場所になってしまった！
もはやアパートは安全な場所ではない； 多くの家族が彼らは隣のブロックの友人家族のもとに行った！
ガザ市内にいる親戚や友人を頼って自宅アパートを去った。
報道によれば、今日、７人が死んだ！
死者の数は900人を超えた。公式の報道やメディアでは語られていないことだが、ガザの郊外にいくつもの遺体がある。 しかし、イスラエル軍支配化の地域にあるため誰もそこにたどりつけないのだ！

どこもかしこも死で覆われている。昨晩の空襲は70回以上、さらに今日は30回！
これらの空襲で何百人もの子どもたち、女性たちが死んだ！
あなたがたには想像できるまい、このすさまじい破壊の姿を。人々は継続する爆撃になす術もない。 爆撃された建物の瓦礫の下敷きになって、一家全滅した家族がいくつもある！
複数の戦車がガザ市に向かってゆっくりと移動している。夜はただひたすら恐ろしく、 夜明けの光を目にすると子どもたちは歓喜の声を上げる！
子どもたちは続けて何時間も眠ることができない。こっちで空襲、あっちで砲撃、遠くで激しい機関銃の音という状況なのだから。
今、Ｆ16が私たちの頭上を飛んでいる。
ガザ市全体が食糧難に陥っている；当然のことながら果物や野菜などまったくない。
電気と水の状況も依然、ひどい。今日、ガザのいくつかの地域で２時間、電気が供給された！
ガザは人道的・環境的危機の限界にある！ 健康をめぐる状況も貧弱な病院も崩壊しつつある！ 時折、自分のまわりで起きていることをことばにできなくなることがある！

みなさんの努力と支援に感謝しています。家族も私も無事です。
昨夜、攻撃目標になった小児病院は、ガザ市北部にある 「ムハンマド・アル＝ドゥッラ病院」 だ。 また UNRWA の学校が昨日、ハーン・ユーニスの町で、攻撃目標にされた。民間人こそ最大の被害者だ。
友人一家から今しがた聞いた話だ。引退した年配の元 UNRWA 職員の夫婦、アフメド・オスルフ （73歳） と妻のサミーラ（66歳）、 そして娘のアリージュ （25歳） はアパートの８階に住んでいた。隣の建物の激しい爆風で床に叩きつけられ、破片がアパートのなかに。 アパートはゆがんで危険な場所になってしまった！
もはやアパートは安全な場所ではない； 多くの家族が彼らは隣のブロックの友人家族のもとに行った！
ガザ市内にいる親戚や友人を頼って自宅アパートを去った。
報道によれば、今日、７人が死んだ！
死者の数は900人を超えた。公式の報道やメディアでは語られていないことだが、ガザの郊外にいくつもの遺体がある。 しかし、イスラエル軍支配化の地域にあるため誰もそこにたどりつけないのだ！

深夜１時半に始まり、６時45分まで続いた。またもうちの地区だった。
戦車やヘリコプターに加えて、彼らは白リン弾も使った。地区全体が煌々と照らされた。
彼らは大工 〔の工房?〕 と家一軒のつごう２箇所を焼き、ほかの複数の場所にも被害を与えた。 昨晩の攻撃は、３日前に行われた最初の攻撃にも増してすさまじかった！
救急車と消防車がようやく戦闘地域にたどり着けたのは７時、攻撃がすべて収まってからだった！
人々は脅え、さらに多くの家族がこの地区全体からガザ市内の別の地区へ逃げていった。だが、結局のところ、どこに行くというのだ。

まず、かれこれ15日間、電気のない状況におかれている。飲み水もほとんどない。携帯は壊れていて、わずかにショートメッセージを送れるくらいだ。 電話線はずっとＯＫだが、時々、通っていないことがある。
この間、小さな発電機を使ってラップトップのパソコンを動かしている。
３日前、電気会社が変圧器と電線のメンテナンスをおこなったので、ふたたび電気が使えるようになった。水を上の階にある貯水槽に汲み上げた！
とはいえ、電気は依然、来たと思ったら停電の繰り返しだ；
２、３時間しか来ないときもあるし、10時間かそれ以上続くこともある。そのときに電子メールを送っている。 まったくもって尋常ならざることだが、とにかく機会を見つけては世界に向けて発信することが、私にとっていちばん重要なことなのだ。

ガザは今、ちょうど深夜１時15分だ。今日は比較的静穏だったように思う！
そう思うのだが、実際は、Ｆ16によるガザ市への空襲があり、またラファの国境地帯に対しても集中的な空襲があったのだ！
まさに今、イスラエルの攻撃用ヘリがガザ市の南の地区に照明弾を投下している！
人道をめぐる状況は最悪に向かっている！
毎日、新たな日が訪れるたびに、死者の数も負傷者の数も、都市部、農村部の両方で破壊も増加の一途をたどっている。
環境についても言うまでもない。軍事作戦が終了するや否や、環境の危機が宣言されるだろう。そして、農業は完全にめちゃくちゃにされてしまった。 軍が作戦を展開しようと思うところはどこもかしこも、何百台もの戦車や軍用車が畑を走り回り、 イスラエルの軍事用ブルドーザーが植物をなぎ倒し木々を根こそぎにしているのだ！
先のメッセージで、複数の UNRWA の学校が、家を失ったり、戦闘を恐れて家を逃げ出したパレスチナ人の避難所になっていると伝えた。 今日、そのメッセージを訂正したい。現在、パレスチナ人が暮らしている UNRWA の学校は全部で33。 どの学校にも120家族がいる （以前のメールでは120人と書いたが、そうではなく120家族だ）。 UNRWA が毛布や一日３度の食事をこれらの家族に提供している。地元の ＮＧＯ も複数、寄付に加わっている。
今日はまた、さらに何人かの外科医が病院を助けるためにガザに入ることを許された。 一方、ノルウェーの医療チーム （外科医２名） はシファー病院の外科で何日か仕事をしてガザを去った。 エジプト、ヨルダン、アルジェリア、サウジアラビア、スーダンからも医師たちが駆けつけている。 スーダンのチームはスーダンの人々が献血してくれた血液バッグをもってガザに向かっている途中だ。
死者は、おおよそ 1000の命である； 負傷者は4300名以上に達している！
死者のうち331人が子ども、99人が女性だ。遺体がいまだ瓦礫の下や野原にある者たちは含まれていない。 今日、たとえば医療チームがようやく攻撃初日に亡くなった者の遺体にたどり着くことができた！
ガザ市北部にあるジャバリーヤ難民キャンプ出身の92歳の老人の遺体だ。老人は白旗を掲げていた！
家族全員が行方知れずだったり、あるいは、家族のある者たちは行方不明、またある者たちは負傷したり、死亡したりといった家族について無数に話がある。
爆撃で身体に障害を負った子どもたちや女性たちの話にも事欠かない！

たとえば、アル＝ナーセル地区では夕べ、５軒の家がＦ16に攻撃された。 そのうちの一軒は、ガザのイスラーム大学 （IUG） の渉外部職員の家だった。
ゼイトゥーン地区でも住宅が攻撃目標にされた！
昨晩、Ｆ16のミサイルがシュイフ・ラドワーン墓地に着弾した！
彼らはあと、どこを破壊するつもりなんだ！
ある医者から言われたのだが、何百人もの負傷者たちが二度と回復することもなければ、ふつうの暮らしに戻ることもないという！
ある15歳の少女のヴィデオを見た。少女はひざの上から両脚、切断されていた。 もう一人の少女は片脚しか残っていなかった、そしてほかの少女たちは・・・・・・外科手術室のキャパシティは限られているし、使える設備も貧弱なので、 健康をめぐる状況はどんどん悪化している。
パレスチナ人の外科医を支援しにアラブ諸国といくつかのヨーロッパの国々から駆けつけた、60名から70名の医師たちが助けになってくれているが、 しかし、それでもなお、ガザにはいかなる治療も受けることができないでいる負傷者たちがいる・・・・・・また、13人の救急医が、勤務中に命を落とした； 何台もの救急車が、負傷者を救出し遺体を避難させようとして撃たれている！
