Hello, Akari. Welcome to this Community. I am having a lot of trouble keeping this Community active, and so I would really appreciate it if you would write comments frequently.

I hope you do well on your exam!
Thank you for your coments,Mari.
I didn't know that keeping these Community active is so difficult.Because the truth is that Mixi itself is new to me.I have some sympathy for your ideas.
Then, what shall we start talking about?
May we need some common topic?
I'm reading a TezukaOsamu's comic book now. Do you like Tezuka Osamu?
I read your page,you are photographer,aren't you?
That's really nice job!
See you soon.
Thanks for your comment. It is really hard to keep this community active. I don't think we have had anything going in months!

As you mentioned, maybe we can start talking about topics that we have in common.

I love Tezuka Osamu! I actually learned Japanese by reading his comic books. I think I have read all of his works.

Yes, I am a photographer and I take photos of Yunnan, China. I will be going to Yunnan again at the end of this month.

Hope to hear from you again soon!
Thanks a lot,Mari.
You are very used to using English, are'nt you?
I really hope I'll be get used to speaking and writting in English like you and like as my speed of typing japanese cell phone.

Now excuse me..I didn't understand the meaning of 「have anything going in months」Would you say that in simpler words?I guess that means …Noone write for a month?!

And!!Wow!!Surprise!
Tezuka's works made you learn Japanese?!And you have read all of his works!!
I was deeply absorbed in reading BLACK JACK in my junior high school age.And yesterday,I saw my friends in junior high school days after a long separation. The conversation got lively when we fall into talk about Tezuka's works. One of them has many comic books in his room,so he lent me lots of comic books. Now there are… FIERY BIRD and BUDDA and the story of BEETHOVEN in my room.I decided to start reading BEETHOVEN's story. Then what is your favorrite works in these?

Yunnan is 雲海 in Chinese and in southwest in China, isn't it?(just iI looked up)Is there a beautiful place?
What country is near here?
See you maybe tomorrow.
Hello.
English was the first language I learned. I couldn't speak any Japanese as a child and learned it when I came to Japan when I was twelve.

"Anything going" is slang, I guess. It means that nothing has being going on, in other words, no activity.

My favorite is Black Jack too. I was also impressed with Buddha. His depiction of the whole life of Buddha was quite impressive.

Yunnan is 雲南 in Chinese and it is close to Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos.

See you soon!
Oh,I know of your first language with my reading your self-introduction on Mixi.
I'm now taking spoken English lesson and my teacher is Japanese. She closely learned English in Japanese,so It is a great help for me.But I think a live speaking is very inportant thing as like as grammer.
In this respect, you would use really general English. So I'm very glad meeting you!
And I think if it was hard of you to learn Japanese when you were just twelve years.Because while English is very logical,Japanese seems to be complex. Now my father has lost his language because of illness of the blain. So I sometimes teach Japanese to my father.

Thank you very much of your explaining about 「Anything going」.You are my good English teacher because I didn't know even the meaning of 「Slang」(now I understand).

I'm looking foward to reading Buddha.I think Tezuka is highly genius for comics.Beethoven is very amuzing to me too.

I'm afraid I can't find a mappemonde.(Is there Nepal near here?)

See you soon.
Yes, Japanese is a hard language to learn. You really have to understand the culture and the mentality. If you take the words literally, misunderstandings can happen.

I am sorry to hear about your father. I hope he gets well soon.

Yunnan is located near Tibet.
