Daisaku Ikeda and General Noriega are in the drug business

Daisaku Ikeda invested money collected from Soka Gakkai members in General Noriega's drug business.
Daisaku Ikeda used the name of the Soka Gakkai to launder these sales proceeds by creating a paper company in Panama.
Using these methods, Daisaku Ikeda is thought to have earned more than US$600 billion.

From this huge sum of money, Daisaku Ikeda was constantly giving large sums of money to Japanese politicians.
By doing so, the only politicians who could criticize the Soka Gakkai were those from a few parties that did not receive money.

The horrifying harassment of some of these politicians, who criticized them, continued day after day.
The Soka Gakkai sometimes used the mafia to threaten them.
One politician died in a suspicious fall, but the police did not investigate and ruled it a suicide.

Thus, the Soka Gakkai Political Section (Koumeitou) became a ruling party in 1999 in coalition with the Jimintou, already the ruling party in Japan.
This is still the case today.
