はじめまして。とても興味深くこのコミュニティを拝見しています。
アーティストレジデンスというものをはじめて知りましたが,私は作曲をしているのですが音楽のアーティストレジデンスもあるのですか?
もしヨーロッパやアメリカの音楽のレジデンスで詳しい情報をお知りの方いらっしゃったら是非教えて下さい。

ニースのビラ　アルソンのレジデンスです。以下英語なので参照してください。
行ったことはないのですが、非常に評判良いです。展覧会の企画も充実していて、付属の学校もあります（客員として学生とミーティングも）。創立３５年、南仏で一番大きいアートセンターだと思います。４ヶ月のレジデンスで、約５０万円〜８０万円の研究費（すべて込み）。締め切り４月１５日だそうです。

RESIDENCE D’ARTISTE A NOISY-LE-SEC (93) - APPEL A CANDIDATURES

La Galerie, Centre d’art contemporain, accueille tous les ans un(e) artiste plasticien(ne) à Noisy-le-Sec. Cette résidence, d’une durée de neuf mois, vise à accompagner la production d'un projet ou d'une œuvre, qui sera intégré(e) à une exposition collective de La Galerie.

Chaque année, la résidence s’articule autour d’une thématique différente.

Pour l’année 2005-2006, le thème de la résidence porte sur les relations que l’art (en particulier l’art abstrait, géométrique, minimal…) entretient avec la science, notamment pour aborder l’infiniment grand et l’infiniment petit.

La démarche ou le projet spécifique de l’artiste sélectionné(e) devra s’inscrire dans cette thématique. Le projet devra également prendre en considération le territoire, ses acteurs, ses structures culturelles et scientifiques (associations, universités, musées, etc.), à l’échelle de la ville, du département et/ou de la région. Il sera accompagné par La Galerie d’un soutien financier et logistique.



SELECTION DES CANDIDATURES

Les candidatures devront comporter un dossier représentatif du travail général de l’artiste (sur papier), une biographie (cv) et une note d’intention du projet (2 pages maximum). Elles sont à déposer à La Galerie ou à adresser à :

Mise à disposition gratuite (sauf électricité, gaz et téléphone, pris en charge par l’artiste) d’un atelier-logement meublé de 90 m2 loué par la ville de Noisy-le-Sec à l’office départemental HLM, situé en centre-ville de Noisy-le-Sec (RER E à 10 minutes de Paris ou bus 105 depuis le métro Mairie des Lilas), à proximité du centre d’art. L’atelier comprend une partie logement (2 pièces + cuisine) d’environ 35 m2, une partie atelier d’environ 55 m2 et un sous-sol (cave) d’environ 25 m2.


La Galerie est un centre d'art contemporain créé en mars 1999, financé par la ville de Noisy-le-Sec, le Ministère de la culture et de la communication (DRAC Ile-de-France), le Conseil régional d’Ile-de-France et le Conseil général de la Seine-Saint-Denis.

Les résidences en arts visuels à Point Éphémère se déroulent sur une période de six mois et s’articulent autour d’un projet aidé. Elles sont à destination des jeunes artistes ou des jeunes projets nécessitant une structuration par un tiers. Point Éphémère apparaît en tant que producteur ou coproducteur sur les projets des résidents, s’active en recherches de financements et de partenariats.

Les artistes bénéficient d’une aide technique à la production. L’accompagnement se réalise aussi par un soutien administratif ou juridique, ou par l’organisation régulière de visites en ateliers par des professionnels invités. Les ateliers de résidence en arts visuels sont au nombre de quatre et d’une surface d’environ trente mètres carrés chacun. Une participation aux frais de fonctionnement mensuelle et forfaitaire est demandée.

ダンスのレジデンスですが、スタジオのみで住居は提供されません。パリ近郊在住の方が対象ですね。月々200ユーロで 135 m2＋映像音響のスタジオ制作付です。

Les résidences danse à Point Ephémère sont des résidences de recherche et d’expérimentation chorégraphique s’adressant aux artistes professionnels émergents ou confirmés.

Nous accordons une attention particulière aux chorégraphes désireux d’explorer les frontières entre la danse et d’autres pratiques artistiques. Point Ephémère se veut être un espace de prise de risque, de tentatives et d’expérimentations diverses.

La résidence

Une commission danse se réunit deux fois par an et opère une sélection sur la base des projets qui lui parviennent suite à l’appel à candidature.

Les résidences se déroulent sur 1 mois.

Les artistes disposent du studio de danse pendant un mois. Ils peuvent accéder à un espace doté d’un outil de montage d’images et à un conseil technique pour leur création sonore.

La présentation de petites formes ouvertes à un public de professionnels ou autre est réalisable dans la limite d’une jauge de 45 personnes et dans des conditions studio.

Les compagnies peuvent bénéficier d’un soutien humain et technique de Point Ephémère.
Elles peuvent également être accompagnées par la responsable danse dans la réalisation de leur projet.

Les artistes prennent part au fonctionnement général du lieu en s’acquittant de participations aux frais de 200 euros pour un mois.

CURATOR RESIDENCY IN NOISY-LE-SEC, FRANCE (93)

Every year, La Galerie, contemporary art centre, in Noisy-le-Sec, in
the suburbs of Paris, offers a residency for a curator. The aim of this
three month residency is to create an exhibition at La Galerie within
the context of a French art centre, and also, to meet people working in
the field of contemporary arts.

To be selected, the curator has to submit an exhibition proposal, which
he/she will install with the help of the team of La Galerie.
A 15 000 EUR budget is offered to cover artists and curator's travel
expenses and includes the curator's fee (2 000 EUR), art works transport,
insurance, production costs, publicities (invitations, flyers,
poster...), the publication of two accompanying exhibition leaflets
etc... La Galerie publishes, for each exhibition, an about 16 page
bilingual leaflet French/English for adults, and an about 12 page
leaflet for the children.

In addition the curator would be required to:
- engage himself/herself as best as possible within the context of the
art centre
and to participate in public talks and events, organised by la Galerie
- write an introducing text and accompanying texts about art works for
the
adults leaflet.
To facilitate communication with the team and the publics, the curator
should speak French or English.


SELECTION
Application should contain:
- the curator's C.V. with his/her name, address, phone and e-mail
- an exhibition proposal (2 pages maximum), explaining the idea behind
the exhibition, providing a list of artists which for each artist a
text and a picture.
The exhibition will take place 5 weeks after the curator's arrival
hence, the proposal project should be as comprehensive as possible.

私はサウンドアートとサウンドパフォーマンスをやっているんですが、昨年フランスに少しだけ行きました。その時にやはり長期で滞在できたらもっといろいろな事ができるのに！と思い、いろいろレジデンスを探しています。
レジデンスのリンクから見つけた、camac centre d'art marnay art centre（http://www.camac.org/EN/candidatures.html）というはご存知ですか？サイトにはパリ近郊！？にある、と書いてあったのですが・・・
どうも費用は完全に自分持ちみたいなのですが・・・
なにかご存知でしたら、お教え願います

毎年恒例のポアンエフェメールのレジデンス応募。日本からの応募はきつい。アトリエのみ、月々200ユーロ。それでもパリでは応募が殺到。住居を確保してる人向け。
ともっちさん紹介のキュウレイターレジデンスおもしろいですね。作家のレジデンスもあります。書かなかったなか？サイトがないので不便。マリアンヌというダイレクターが企画してるけど、彼女はサウンドアートに詳しいので、MAMORUさんもコンタクトしてみるといいかも。住居アトリエ＋生活費も出していると思う。パリから一駅。CAMACは昔からやってますね、残念ながら名前くらいしか聞いたことないです。なにかわかったらアップしますね。

Research Program La Seine, Recruitment for session starting October 2006

The research program La Seine, at the Ecole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, France, aimed at young artists of all nationalities, will select 3 to 6 new members for the school year 2006-2007.

La Seine is the graduate level research program proposed by the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, France. It is headed by Tony Brown and open to young artists of all nationalities who have obtained a master level degree for at least 12 months. The pedagogy of this 2-year program is based on the exchange of knowledge and skills linked to artistic thought, processes, and practice. Along with offering a rich context to work in, the program seeks to provide the professional conditions for the students to best develop their future artistic direction. A large number of visiting artists, curators, critics, are scheduled throughout the year for meetings with the participants. A grant for research and production is awarded to each artist in the program. Each year, a trip is organised to a different country. The works produced during the artists’ stay abroad are meant to appear in an exhibition.
There is no restriction based on nationality.

はじめまして、CAMACに昨年の11月から3ヶ月間滞在してました。私はUNESCOの助成を受けて行って来たのですが、他の作家はそれぞれ各国の政府奨学金や自腹でしたよ。
私は完全助成だったので詳しい金額はわからないのですが、確か一ヶ月1100ユーロ位で
個室（シャワー･トイレつき）
個別スタジオ（ただし広いのあり狭いのあり）
３食込み（平日の夜は用意される。美味しいです）
材料費は個人
ネット環境よし。Winの人は持参がベター。PCルーム24ｈ可。
すごい田舎ですがパリには電車で1時間なので日帰りできます。
自分の制作に集中しつつ、他の作家とのほどよい交流･情報交換などをしたい作家向きだと思います。
メールでも英語で色々と質問できますが、他の作家によると問い合わせした時と話がちょっと違う、みたいな事も聞いたので細かく細かくしつこくしつこく問い合わせをした方がベターだと思います。
私ともう一人の作家はUNESCO枠ということでちょっと待遇の良さ（といってもクレームありましたが）を感じた事もあり、個人で行くとどうなってたんだろうと言うのは正直あります。
ちなみに今年の2月は1ヶ月近くクローズ、夏はすぐ埋まるみたいです。
なんだかんだいって人気みたいですよ。

私はフランスメインで美術（絵画です）活動をしたいと考えている者です。

どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

はじめまして。
2005年4月〜2006年3月までCite Internationale des Artsに滞在しました。

上に書いてあるとおり、立地は素晴らしいですがサポート体制があまりないので、現地での活動は本人次第です。ただし、巨大なレジデンスなので作家同士のコミュニケーションは盛んです。月に一度親睦パーティが開かれています。

アトリエは部屋によって間取りも大きさもかなり差があります。ベッド、冷蔵庫、食器類など必要最低限のものは揃っています。

付属ギャラリーは7フロアーほどあり、各フロアーを有料で借りることもできますし、年に数回企画されるグループ展は無料で参加できます。
私は丁度滞在中にメディアアートの企画展があったので参加しました。簡単なDMも無料で作ってもらい、搬入はスタッフが手伝ってくれました。ただし有志なのでまるで大学の学内展示みたいな雰囲気でした。

大きなレジデンスということもあって、あまり干渉されずマイペースに制作したい方に向いているかな、というのが感想です。

協賛している大学等のアトリエは決まっていますが、一般公募の場合空いている部屋を割り振られると思います。
それぞれ全然違った間取りで、メゾネットの部屋なんかもありました。遊びに行くのが楽しいですよ。

DESCRIPTION OF THE RESIDENCY PROGRAMME

Every year, La Galerie, Contemporary Art Centre in Noisy-le-Sec, north-eastern Paris (France), hosts a foreign curator in residence for a period of three months. The aim of the residency, first organised in 2006, is to put on an exhibition at La Galerie within the context of a French art centre, and to meet artists and professionals working in the contemporary art field in France.

The first curator in residence was Bettina Klein, who lived in Noisy-le-Sec from April to June 2006 to realise her exhibition project "Objet à part" (including Ryan Gander, Alexander Gutke, Maria M. Loboda, Kirsten Pieroth, Wilhelm Sasnal, Albrecht Schäfer, Florian Slotawa and Simon Starling), which took place at the art Centre from 13 May to 22 July 2006.

2007 residency dates: from 2 April – 30 June 2007
2007 exhibition dates: 25 May – 21 July 2007

Free accommodation is provided (except costs of electricity, gas and phone, payable by the curator) in a 90 m2 flat in the Centre of Noisy-le-Sec (10 minutes by train from Paris + 10 minutes walk). The flat includes a bedroom, a living room/kitchen and a studio (55 m2 workspace). In addition there is a 25 m2 cellar.

A total budget of 20,000 € is provided by the art Centre to cover artists' and curator’s travel costs, the curator’s fee (3000 €), transport of art works, insurance costs, production costs, publicity (invitations, flyers, poster, etc), the publication of a 16 page bilingual French/ English leaflet and of a 12 page leaflet for children.

Founded in 1999, La Galerie is a contemporary art Centre located in north-eastern Paris, publicly funded by the City of Noisy-le-Sec, the Direction des affaires Culturelles d’Île de France – Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Seine-Saint-Denis Council and the Île-de-France Region.

Its main activities are to develop a programme of five exhibitions a year (2 thematic, 2 monographic, 1 educational), to produce art works, publish catalogues, host artists and curators in residency and develop educational activities.

Each exhibition is accompanied by:
- Performances and discussions relating to other fields of research (astrophysics, psychoanalysis, philosophy, music…) open to a wide audience
- Educational activities (workshops for schools and individuals), guided tours etc.

2005/2007 programme:
- Group exhibitions: “Makings of the Sublime” (James Ireland, Friedrich Kunath, Christopher Orr, Evariste Richer); “Cosmogonies” (Isabelle Arthuis, Soyoung Chung, Julien Discrit, Attila Csörgö, Vidya Gastaldon, Jean-Michel Wicker); “Expeditions” (Dove Allouche, Simon Boudvin, Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc, Joachim Koester, Abraham Poincheval & Laurent Tixador, Daniel Roth, Hans Schabus) + Guest curator’s exhibition “Objet à part”.
- Solo shows: Laurent Montaron, Olivier Nottellet, Myriam Mechita, Adam Adach.

The exhibition space is 200 m2 on street level.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

Each candidate must submit an exhibition proposal, which he/she would be able to implement with the help of La Galerie's team.

In addition, the curator would be required to:
- Take into consideration the general artistic programme of La Galerie
- Have an interest in the French art scene and consider it in the final exhibition proposal (through the possibility of a short visit to Paris before the residency period)
- Engage as much as possible with the context of the art Centre and participate actively in public talks and events organised by La Galerie
- Write an introductory text and accompanying texts on the works for the press release and the exhibition leaflet.
To facilitate communication with the La Galerie team and the public, the curator should speak French or English.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

The application should contain:
- The curator’s CV/résumé with his/her name, address, phone and e-mail
- An exhibition proposal (2 pages maximum), explaining the idea behind the exhibition and providing a list of artists with a text and a picture for each.
The exhibition will take place 7 weeks after the curator’s arrival, so the proposal should be as comprehensive as possible.

After an initial evaluation, 5 or 6 pre-selected curators will be invited to present their projects to a selection panel during a conference call in February 2007.

パリの来年オープンする新しいレジデンス。10月15日締め切り。毎月、約20万円プラス住居提供。パリ市が主催のかなり本格的なレジデンスになりそう。かなり前から工事やってます。このカルチエはパリ市行政にとっての最後の病巣というか、昼間散歩しても緊張し、家賃も安い、何が出てくるかわからない珍しい地区。レジデンスも何でも来い！と幅広い分野をカバーしてるようです。ちなみに、このレジデンスの建物は昔、ペストかな？が流行したときの死体置き場だったそうで（写真みたけど、本当に中庭に死体が山盛りでした）、行政もじゃあ再開発には、芸術家に住んでもらうしかないねってとこでしょうか。

ですけど、先日今年の応募期限についてメールで問い合わせたところ、
なんと最近運営方針が変わってしまったらしく、そこのレジデンスに
滞在するアーティストは、どこか当人が居住する地元のエクスチェンジする
アート関係の機関を通しての交換プログラムという形でしか受け入れをしない、
ということになってしまったそうです。

実は私もちょうど２年前に一度あそこに応募して落選したことがあったんですけど、
今年また再度挑戦しようかと考えていたところで、それで先方に問い合わせたら
残念ながらそのような返事が来ました。

ちなみにその担当者からの返事のメッセージをそのまま以下に貼っておきます。


Dear Takashi Mitsui,

I regret to inform you that we don't receive unsolicited application
anymore for the AIR programm.

Since 2006, we have been working in a way of exchange with other local
artistic institutions from the Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

104は去る９月の初めにも応募の〆切がありましたよね。
ネット上で書類データを先方のサ−ヴァーにアップロードする形で応募するように
なっていましたけど、当初予定されていた最終日に応募データのアップロードが
集中して向こうのサーヴァーがトラブルを起こすというアクシデントがあったようです。
で、その結果２回も締切日が延期されたりして…。

私もとりあえずエントリーだけはしたんですけど、その後で主催者から
なんと「延べ３０００人がエントリーした」というメールが届いたので、
「この競争率じゃもうダメだぁ！」と思って諦めました（苦笑）。
いまだに時々ニュース・レターとか送ってきてくれてたりしていますけど、
今後はもう私がここに応募することは無さそうですね。

あと、フランスのレジデンスって表向きは特に明記していないけど
実際には軒並みどこでもフランス語ができない応募者には優先権がないって
感じもしますね。上記の104だってスタートした２００７年の最初の募集期に
採用された応募者もフランス系の人たちが圧倒的に多かったようですし…。

英語で応募のカヴァー・レターとかメールを書いて送っても、向こうから来る
書類受理確認や結果通知の返事がしっかりフランス語だけで書かれているとか、
そういう所も結構ありますし…。

それから以前は幅広くいろんなアーティストを受け入れていたのに、
最近になってフランス国内の作家対象に変わったのか、あるいはフランス語が
解る人しか応募できないようにするつもりか、ネット上の応募要綱の文章も
フランス語のものしか掲載しなくなったところも幾つかありました。
レジデンスの数は多い国だけど、どこも意外と閉鎖的なんでしょうかねぇ。

さすが条件がいいだけありますね。

フランスパリのEspace des arts sans frontiersに参加しました。
現在グループ展示中です。

こちらは現地アーティストの助けが多々ありました。
グループ展示とかかわりないアーティストとも交流がもてます。
また、滞在先で大家さんからよくご飯をいただきました。


ただ、アート担当者やキュレーターはいません。
現地アーティストの協力と集まったアーティストのチームワークが頼みです。
滞在費や制作費は全て自費です。
住居兼アトリエは、バックパッカーの宿と大家さん（と6匹の猫）の住まいをかねているので、そういった環境も楽しめる方には大変刺激になると思います。
