That's about the extent of my Japanese ability..hehe
But, wow, I was so surprised to see this community on
mixi! There are Americans that live 50 miles away that
don't even know where Lompoc is! hahaha
Lompoc is my hometown, and I came back after
I graduated college. Its a nice quiet place, and
people are really friendly.
I am glad to see that people enjoyed their stay in
Lompoc! :D

what's up due? I'm ToshiIs Lompoc really ya hometown?I've been there twice for homestay and sightseeing.I love the town and people living there, too. They are all friendly.I 've been studying in LA but people are not friendly like that, actully suck.first of all, the air is sweet and fresh. The air in LA smells like crap and stinky as hell. someday, i really want to live there.well, glad to find a native like you.
>Toshi
Hey! Ya, I've lived in Lompoc since I was 3 years old.
Except I was away at Chico State for the past 5 years,
but now I'm back. The town is growing quite well, and
even in the 5 years I was gone, a lot of new buildings
have been built. It still has the same feel though.
Ya, LA sucks, especially the traffic. I'm afraid I might
end up living there because I want to get a job in
TV or Film. There are a lot of fun things to do in LA,
but I just can't stand driving around LA.
>John
Yeah, I have the same feeling as you cuz i'm from countryside in Japan.Eventhough some new buildings have been built while I stay here, I don't feel any differences.
Hell ya, the trafic sucks when I'm in hurry. Especially FW near LAX is crazy like it always stucks and I can't call it FW any more. How can I call it FW everybody drives below 10mph?
yeah, I've been to Santa Barbara once when I went to see my friends. They go to UCSB and they say Santa Barbara is a party town.I guess there might be less cops and neighborhood don't care the noise.i never tried it but i wanna try it at least once.Tell me something hot else about Santa Barbara.
lol, ya whenever I go to LA I go from highway 101 to
405, but you get close to LAX and the freeway seems
more like a parking lot.
In Santa Barbara, there is a street called State Street
where there are lots of cool shops and quite a few bars/
clubs to go to at night. What is funny is that UCSB is
actually a tiny bit outside of Santa Barbara in Goleta.
The famous party street in that area I think is called
Del Playa. I went there for Halloween and it was crazy.
I have pictures, but I don't think they are suitable
for posting on mixi. lol ;)
I have a question for you guys. My ex-hostbrother used to go to Cabrillo when I visited there. Why not everybody goes to Lompoc cuz Cabrillo is kinda far.
Yes, it is confusing. Most of the people that go to Cabrillo live in an area called Vandenberg Village. That's where I live. But it is true that there are people that live near Lompoc High, but go to Cabrillo. I think Cabrillo is viewed as a safer school so some parents find a way to have their kids go to Cabrillo instead of Lompoc. There might be more reasons, but you never hear of anyone that lives near Cabrillo, but goes to Lompoc.
i see. There might be some big problems in Lompoc High cuz i met a lot of kids going to Cabrillo who live in downtown near Lompoc high. I was just wondering.
