オーバーハウゼン国際短編映画祭の＜回顧展=Profiles＞に選ばれて行ってきました。短編＆中篇の５作品を２プログラムに分けて上映しましたが、藤岡朝子氏の翻訳にも助けられて大きな反響〜
「グレート！貴方は映画の革命家だ！」(アメリカの映像作家)
「どれもが初めて知る世界で衝撃的！」(ロシアの女性監督)
「音の使い方が実に素晴らしい！」(ドイツの映画監督)
「大変に魅力的だ。ニューヨーカーに見せるにはどうすればよいのか？」(初老のアメリカ人)etc.
更に今回は長編『王国』の英語版も加わりますので、ご高覧のほど宜しくー！（金井勝）
Katsu Kanai Film Works : with English Subtitles
My films were invited to the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival in the retrospective section called Profiles, and I traveled with them. Five short and mid-length films were presented in two programs, and (accompanied by Fujioka Asako's English subtitles,) received with great enthusiasm!
"Great! You are a revolutionary in cinema!" (exclaimed an American filmmaker.)
"Every film was a discovery and a revelation!" (said a Russian famale director.)
"Your use of sound is exceptional!" (raved a German filmmaker. )
"The films were fascinating, but how do I get to show them to New Yorkers?" (asked an elderly American.) and so on.
This time for the Tokyo tour, I get to add the feature length The Kingdom with English subtitles to the collection, so do come see them!
