At this time, I will tell you about bad experience, which I had, at 5star hotel in Oahu.
I stayed with my girlfriend, whom I am going together for more than 5 years, at there before I went back to Japan.
At that day, I bought flowers for my girlfriend. I gave it to bell desk. At that time, I knew that my room was already assigned.When I went to front desk, I registered and changed my room plan with front staff (she). She helped me a lot. I said to her that please make sure my flower was going to my room beacause my room was assigned before. She told me that she would. After 2 hours, I checked in my room but there was no flower. I was so upset. It was terrible. After 5 mins, she found it at the room which was assigned before. Do you think that this is high quality setvice?
Secondly, I found so much dust above the desk, shelves, and door between living room and bathroom. And there was a smoked cigarette at Lanai. I found that door, which is for refrigerator, was broken. I could not believe it that 5 star hotel had these kind of basic problems.
Thirdly, I requested to the housekeeping department that I need coffee maker. I called them when I checked in (4pm). We went to pool after I called. We came bacj to our room around 5:30pm, but there was not coffee maker yet. I called them again and they said that they were going to bring it right now. I waited it for 30 mins. Finally, I called front staff who helped me at checked in. She told me that she would call them. After that I waited for aonther 30 mins and I got it. Front staff said that today was full and busy. SO WHAT? I had been waiting for 3 hours to get coffee maker.
Next, I found that regular glasses and wine glasses were dirty. One of the associates brought it right away but new glasses were dirty, too. I thought that I could not expect more so I did not say anything.
Finally, I found water inside ice basket before I was going to use it. Someone used it before. Staff came my room glasses therefore I requested him that I needed new ice basket. He brought me that same basket with ice. I was so disappointed.
I have never experienced those problems at other hotels, which were 5 star and 5 diamond, business hotel, INN, MOTEL, B&B and etc.
After I sent this letter to GM at this hotel.
They sent email to me to research their service which I got. I could not believe that they did not apology and say anything about it.
There were comment space which I could write anything. I wrote that I would send this to GM at American group of this hotel.
After 1 week, GM at that hotel in oahu, sent letter to me. he apology about it and will improve their service. He also gave me complimentary room night.
You thought that this is end.... NO NO NO.
I stayed in this hotel on Nov.2005. GM gave letter to me on Dec.2006.
I knew that this hotel in Oahu would be takeovered other company on ending Nov.2005.
That is to say, GM at that hotel knew that I could not use this complimentary ticket anyway.
I think that someone know which hotel I told.
※I hesitated write this comments for long time. Please do not refer my comment about this hotel. Someone might have great experience for staying.

Nancy's experiences in Oahu, HI
This story was that she stayed at Sheraton Waikiki.
She made a reservation of City-view room for one night at Sheraton Waikiki in Tokyo.
When she checked in, one of the front staffs gave her a little smile. And front staff said that we got a great room for you.
Nancy thought that he/she gave an upgrade room which was an ocean-view room.
BUT BUT BUT, when she went in the room, she was suprised. The room was a suite room with ocean-view. She was able to she diamond head and Waikiki beach.
She was so impressed.
Since she got great experience at this hotel, she always stays at Sheraton Waikiki for at least one night.
(She has never gotten an upgrade service after that)
