時事英語コミュのタイガーウッズの声明文の英語表現

自宅前でぶつかったとの報道から、おかしい事件だとすぐ思いました。

タイガーウッズはゴルフのスーパースターですが、下半身は倫理的には

全く制御不能だったことが判明。浮気相手が１ダースを超えておりました。



もう恥ずかしくって世間に顔を見せられないでしょう。

芸人ならなんでも芸のこやしですみますが、スポーツマンはそれは無理みたい。

ジャック・ニコラスはプライベート問題なのだからゴルフとは無関係と弁護してましたが

それは無茶な話。



今後のゴルフトーナメントでスターが不在となるのでますます石川遼君に注目してるようです。

僕にはこの「hiatus」という見慣れない単語が気になって、気になって。。。

hiatus=休止、　中断　　　発音は=haiéitəs
参考例=Trading resumed after a four-day hiatus.
4日間の休止の後、取引が再開しました。



こういう単語を知らなかったとは恥ずかしい。　でもこういうのを勉強するために

このグルッポを始めたのでした。

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.



After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

これはタイガーウッズの浮気、不倫行動を連日報道してるメディアとそれを読んでタイガーとその家族のことに興味を持ち、ぺちゃくちゃしゃべりまくっている人達にもう黙ってくれよと静かにしてくれ、もう放っておいてくれというメッセージでしょう。　それ以外の人はすでに静かに見守ってくれてるわけだから、その人たちへのメッセージではないですね。





たった一つの声明文だけど、とても含蓄のある、有益な表現がいっぱいありますね。
