Hello everyone. Thanks for staying in this group!
I happen to be back in Tokyo planning to stay for a while.
Lately I miss having a discussion on SM and wondering if anyone interested in having a reading group on SM here in Tokyo.
I have some resources in English to possibly share (for the sake of starting out) and if there are people interested, perhaps we can lead it to a regular gathering.
Please send me a message or reply to this topic if you are interested.
A brief and tentative picture of this would be:
- gather at a cafe in Tokyo sometimes soon
- at the first gathering, we will have an intro each other.
- distribute a short or a part of long SM literature in advance and share discussions on it when getting together (ideally Japanese literature in English but maybe any SM literature available in English)
- The purpose here is to provide a space to share talks on SM with folks of various backgrounds.
- I like the idea of treating SM seriously but if reading group is not desired by many, we can consider doing something else
- I am hoping that this sort of opportunity can invite people of different regions to visit when they come to Tokyo.
These are subjects to change and any of your opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have read the first book in the Sleeping Beauty series, I already ordered the 2nd and 3rd book.

Sounds like a good one to check - I wish I could borrow it at a Japanese public library (wonder if it is translated in Japanese!). sure, send me a message when you want to chat over coffee/tea. will see if there are anyone else interested in getting together...!
