well, thought it's already here but probably not.

please do so when you feel up to it.

*let me give a try...

hello, very nice to share a common interests/curiosity with you. I think I have certain BDSM desires but haven't really caught up on that topic lately. Some people I know are involved with programming TV/film with BDSM topics across cultures including Japan. I am just casually, academically and personally interested in these topics.

anyone knows about "kink" TV program series?
it would be fun to share things about that or BDSM media ingeneral.

oh, is this a self-introduction or what...
well, i am open to anything, such as gender, ethnicity and sexuality. yoroshiku ;)

hello!
very pleased to meet you guys!

i admire BDSM's esthetics, but i'm not a great connosseur.
i must say that i adore Tanizaki Junichiro *_*
and i like helmut newton, too

as i live in brazil, it's hard to find stuff about that.
i'm really curious about other sources of BDSM.

i don't know kink tv shows. what's that??
Hi Kamira,

great to hear from you!
I totally forgot to write about my interests in the japanese lit with the relation to BDSM -
I really like Tanizaki Junichiro stuff.
Have you seen any Japanese films based on Tanizaki?
I want to see them all but haven't- only older version of Manji and Kagi.

so you live in brazil? great - I've lived in Brazil for one month long time ago - Kink is a reality TV serialized in North America. is there anything like that in Brazil? How's BDSM bars in Brazil like, or any BDSM lit from there you would recommend?
it would be great to share something from there!
Hey there!

BDSM in Brazil isn't common. Foreigners may think that we deal well with sex, like, there's Carnival and all that stuff.
I must say that the gay/lesbian/transexual is huge, but bigotry still exists a lot.
The problem about BDSM, I think, it's Christinism.People avoid these kind of relation, saying that the body's sacred etc... But isn't Catholic church almost a temple to s&m? All that bleeding saints and all the suffering to reach the Heaven.

Kink show in Brazil? Like Big Brother? There's a plenty of them. Actually right it's kind of out of fashion... In cable tv's more common, mostly from USA (some hardcore like on plastic surgery or eating disgusting stuff)

BDSM lit i would recommend? I'ts not actually literature, but i would recommend Milo Manara's works! He's an italian artist. He even did some stories basead on Sade.

I've never went to a BDSM club, but i listen some stories from friends. Like there are people who like doing "suspension". They put some hooks on their backs and stay suspended by their skin for a while. It looks like meat in a butcher shop.
I think that what happens here is almost copy of what happens in USA or Europe. There some artists that like cuting themselves to the public, other people like to behave like animals...

And, oh yeah, I would recommend a film called Secretary. I've seen it recently! Really interesting!
Hi Kamira,

Sorry it's been while since your last comment!
Thanks for the really interesting and fascinating
stories.

I totally agree with you about Bondage and Christianity - well not being a Christian myself too, it was a real weird
experience to visit some old Christian Cathedrals in Europe because people in the valuable, 'sacred' paintings from
many centuries ago were all bloody and tied on Crucifix.
Well, it was almost like a BDSM exhibition, I must admit... ;)

I know what you mean by "suspension."
I like this western magazine called "ReSearch"
and one of the issues focuses on the people who do
that. They say that they appreciate from some
local festivals in South Asia where serves such
actions as their ritualistic performance.

Thanks for sharing the name of the Italian author -
I would love to find his book sometimes soon!

Film Secretary... Is that from the US? If so I probably
saw it - I liked that too.

I hear some Brazilian queer people (homosexual people)
especially male to female actors who are publically known and popular on TV. I know some reserachers working on that.

I just wrote about the Japanese SM writer Oniroku Dan but I just happened to see three different versions of the Flower and Snake film. The literature became so popular that it was filmed many times throughout the years. It was popular among some people in Europe as well. By the way, do you see any Japanese films there?
I remember Sao Paulo was quite a big city.
Hello everyone,
I'm a photographer/video guy living in Osaka. I like the writings of Tanizaki and doing a search on Mixi lead me here. A lot of my friends are in the S/M, fetish scene here and I spend a lot of time shooting photos and video. I am always looking for more good reading.

Up above is one of my photos, it's one of my favorites.

I have some of my photos on my Mixi so please have a look, and this month's SM Sniper has the photos I took at the Paris fetish event, Nuit Demonia. I'll have some shibari photos in next month's issue, but I like to photograph shibari. I am lucky to have lots of friends who practice it so I am always around it. A friend of mine makes corsets in Kyoto and so I have gotten a corset fetish because of her. You can see her corsets and my photos on her website:
