It's been hot recently hasn't it?! Phew, what a scorcher!
I find this muggy kind of heat really stifling...I have to take a shower two or three times a day!
Still, it is better than the torrential rain we have had this past week. It rained cat's and dogs on Friday morning, it
absolutely chucked it down, and to make things worse, my wife's umbrella broke when she was on her way to work...
she got absolutely soaked; drenched to the skin...having said that, she dried of in no time at all thanks to the heat that followed!

I have to say although I don't like the Japanese Summer weather I do love the festivals; fireworks, beer, yakitori…just great!

Scorcher - very, very hot
Muggy - humid
Stifling - difficult to breath
