Body found in Shawnigan Lake Times Colonist Published: Thursday, August 02, 2007
A body believed to be that of a volunteer who went missing from the Maxwell International School was found in nearby Shawnigan Lake yesterday by RCMP divers.
The volunteer, a 20-year-old man, was reported missing about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to Shawnigan Lake RCMP. He was last seen on a dock near the school.
RCMP officers made immediate patrols of the lake but had to call off their search due to darkness. The search resumed yesterday morning with assistance from the RCMP dive team and a body was recovered. Foul play is not suspected at this point, police said. The man's name has not been released, pending notification of relatives.
Hello Maxwell YOS Alumnii. I have just heard that a YOS at Maxwell drowned in Shawnigan Lake late Tuesday evening. The young man was a 20 year old named Brandon Bily from Washington. The funeral is on Sat at 2pm at the Shawnigan Lake cemetary. He will be in good Baha'i company there. YOS, we have never met this young soul but we are part of the same fellowship, he is one of us. Let's all offer prayers for the progress of his soul at 2pm Pacific Time on Saturday. There are many YOS I don't have contact info for and if you do please pass on the message. One of our own has ascended, let's give him a good send-off.
Love to all of you Angels.
