My name is Erik Lorrain and I represent a group of Japanese Fans of Mouse Guard.
I would first like to thank you for the great work you provided us with.
Your love of the art really shows in your books and such a thing cannot go unnoticed here in Japan.
I'm the only foreigner in the group and they wanted to communicate with you, so they made me an ambassador of sorts. We believe Mouse Guard could be a great hit here in Japan. I'm not talking merely in financial terms but actually a love of the product. People here like cute things and deep stories. Plus your art is "avant-garde" and Japanese people like novel things.
There is a major barrier though to all of this and it is the language barrier. As much as it may be good, your works can only be enjoyed by the few that overcome the big challenge of learning English (and believe me, it's harder to learn English from japanese then the reverse, I should know I'm a teacher).
We would like to help promote Mouse Guard (The Comic and the Roleplaying Game) here on your behalf. It is totally a work of love that we want to do but would like to create something that is worth to be called part of what is "Mouse Guard". What we had in mind is a website showcasing your work here in Japan. We would like to use some of your art and would never think of doing it without your consent. We are hoping that this project might interest you enough to share your ideas and guide us a little as to what kind of things you would approve on such a site.
