I'm Miku exciting from Fukuoka.I don't live in Tokyo but I'd love to join this!!(I probably won't be able to meet u guys though...)
I used to study in Canada and talk to people from other countries.
I felt sorry that you guys don't get to talk to people in English now..
I usually talked to my Japanese friends in English.I know many people don't wanna talk like that way cause maybe that can be embarrassing for them.I still have many problems speaking in English but I'm going to move to the USA next year.So I was looking for something fabulous to have my English skill accomplished! Seems like everybosy has great skills.I 'm pretty sure that I can learn from you guys!!
As I told,I don't live around u guys..(what a shame..)
But this topic thing is still good for me and if somebody wants,maybe we can email each other in English.What do u say??

I saw five Japanese girls were chatting in English at Starbucks today.
And also a lot of foreigners talking with Japanese.
They seemed to be quite enjoying their life style.

Hi, ancient people in 2008 !! lol and Mr. ToGucci. Nice to meet u guys. Though I'm not sure whether this community is active or not, let me make a comment for the first time now. I'm very interested in speaking English in my real life and so I've just joined this community a few months ago. Until today, I've never looked at these topics. but just yesterday I had a look through all topics here. I completely got the point of this community and agreed with the manager's concepts such as at Starbucks, TOEIC 900+, around Jiyugaoka, 3+ people, etc. It seems like I have a permission to join the meeting because I live near Jiyugaoka (15 minutes on foot) and have 900+ score. That's why, as you know, I hope the meeting will be held at Jiyugaoka. By the way, Vital Japan looks so interesting!! I made up my mind to join it in the near future. Thanks for letting me know such a nice community.

If we started speaking in Japanese at the first meeting, we could felt very weird to start speaking English after that, you know what i mean ? it might be very interesting if we speak only english for the first few meetings and maybe at the 5th meeting or so, we will speak only or mainly in Japanese. We may get a different impression from each other if we speak Japanese after speaking only English several meetings.

I used to talk to my Jamanese friedns in English in Japan... at first I felt really awkward talking in English to them but we got used to it.I am sure if you guys meet up and start talking ,that will become one of the most amazing things for you.

Well If I were in tokyo,I really would love to join and meet you guys, but unfortunately..I am not :-((
