You will not be able to find a roommate unless you are planning on living alone and not as a part of disney.
let me know if you have any questions=)
ouch. this is just 3rd year since the program started in Japan. so maybe that's why it is not so smoothfor all colleges to do what they want to do. I'm sorry to hear that.
If you see a blue document, that's wut I wrote =) and you probably know Ms. I?
and dont worry about your English too much since you've passed the interview=)
yes, that is possible CP student but not for ICP.(international college program student) if they pay extra 50 bucks. same to you! but without it, it's kinda hard to get roommates that you wish to share a roomwith.
hi! glad that you got it. now you know wut I look like lol
I cannot go to Nagoya because I am currently a student in NC, USA. but I will be in FL for christmas season!=)
hmmm that's weird. normally, if someone is starting from Jan, they have language school before that. I heard that they are shortening the length of program so they must be changing something. I wasn't sure about how many people you can bring in, but you may invite them for certain TIMES. sorry my japanese is pretty bad. 一回の入園で3人なのか、プログラム中に3人 means the same to me. Let's say you can only invite 3 people. then whenever that is, you can bring people into the park 3 TIMES. does that make sense to you??
hey Aya san! I got some information about guests from a girl who did CP before. we can have guests 6 times, and up to three people each time. so...
I think I updated the documents with Ms. I. I sent her the picture of the original cards. You will get more information on that when you get to the orientation too =)
let me know if you have any question. or you can always tell about this community to Mr.I or other friends who are also intending this program!
Answer? (ahhh i dont know if my japanese makes any sense. The salon is for mostly babies. Of course you can go in, but not many people do. There is a mickey hat you can get if it is your first time to cut your hair since you were born. Most parents go there and let their kid have hair cut to get "First hair cut" embroidered mickey hat! )
Answer?
.....just in case if my japanese doesnt make any sense.....
Its totally up to you. You CAN cook. they have plates, pans, basically everything. But some people preferred to eat outside. There are all kinds of fast food restaurant around Vista way. I've never seen my roommate cook in my aparntment's kitchen. But there I was cooking all the time cuz I loooove cooking. so its totally up to YOU!
Answer?(im gonna stop trying to write in Japanese.... people should be able to read all if they are planning to work in the states right!??!?!?!)
Here is my personal pictures from my facebook, (feel free to add me and go through all my pictures!) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1607128&l=c9ad9db930&id=513426048
Under age apartment and normal apartment look EXACTLY the same. I would not call it big, but it is reasonable size. you just cant have any alcohol in your apartment. that's the only difference.
Answer 4
YES is you consider American Japanese restaurant which is owned by Chinese people......
シャトルバスや市内バス = check my new topics that I created this morning!
Answer 5
JUST ONE!!!! you will only wear first few days. Yet, you might wear it when you go on cruise, or club or what so ever! I searched a perfect image for guys to wear!
http://www.omiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/spurr_120108.jpg
you see the middle guy with a shirt and pants? you dont even need a tie, just wear something that has neck!
During winter, you would want to wear a jacket. It gets pretty cold during the morning time and at night.
Bring T-shirts, so that you can wear it under the jacket during the winter season. My boyfriend is from Florida, and he still wears 半ズボン in NC, so I guess the answer is yes lol if you can go through my pictureson facebook, you will see im wearing super short pants, and a tank-top.
Don't worry! your japanese makes sense.
Well, i have to get a hair cut once a month to meet the Disney Look requirements, so I need to find one who has good skills...
but it seems hard to find one. hmm... did you get a hair cut there?
if so, can you tell me at where you got one?
i kinda like cooking, but i dont wanna go to grocery store and get all food for cooking. i think that im just going out to eat lol
i tried to see the pictures, but since we are not currently friends, i couldnt see them. i sent the request, so i'll check the pictures after you confirm my request.
NO, JAPANESE GROCERY?! what the heck... that sucks!
So, i just need a dress pants, jacket, pair of dress shoes, and a couple dress shirts?
There are few places to get your hair done. American ones, but I am sure it will grow again =P
I was trying to grow my hair, so unfortunately i did not get a hair cut there. But there are plenty in the mall, cross road (close to Vista)
You will be making some cash while you are there, so I think you will be fine eating out every day =)
I confirmed your request! yay! now we are friends =D lol
is there Japanese grocery in your place? I've never seen one where ever i go lol oh! but you can buy seaweed, rice, soy source and such in Walmart!
dress pants, jacket, pair of dress shoes, and nice blouse. You will have to buy shoes for work anyways so just bring sandles.
I am more than glad to answer any questions that you have to make you feel comfortable !! ask it away! =P
and also make sure to get working visa! it;s hard to get one now, so good luck!
okay... i think that im going to ask someone who lives there. i dont wanna embarrass myself at the Disney World lol
how much are the meals generally? i dont think that im eating breakfast, so for lunch and dinner.
yeah, thanks for confirming! we can chat sometime lol
well, there are two groceries near my house, and there is one near my college. i cant believe that Kentucky has many japanese grocery stores and Florida doesnt...
is there any place to play soccer? like a grass field or a park near the apartments?
i have a green card, so i should be fine, shouldnt i?
i appreciate your help! im leaving next Tuesday, so if you're going there in two days, maybe you will see me.
Well, I dont go back to Japan that often, so I dont really have a choice.
Of course I would love to go to Hair salon, if I go back to Japan. But I dont really mind American one anymore. Cant's have it all right =P
just go to a little expensive one, like 40 dollars one. They do a good job.
There are some fast-food restaurant at work place where you can just go in, and eat without bringing your own lunch. But there aren't special cafeteria for CP/ICP kids.
If you start working, you will find a lot of local people who are working there. Its not that hard to find someone who has a car.
I will be staying for 10 days or so. I have to come back to NC before 25th cuz my summer school starts on25th.=)
same here. i get a haircut at an american salon where every japanese goes.
So, the guy gets used to cut japanese hair.
I hope i can find a good one in Florida.
I will definitely contact you while you are there!
you trained the hair stylist lol
I am sure they have tried cutting Asian hair =) A lot of Chinese students were there when I was there.
Only 4 japanese students that time =(
hello :D nice to meet you guys!
I have a question about internship.
I am a student of a community college, which has a program of internship. (co-op)
I am majoring Tourism and have to take an internship class, and I'm planning working at Disney from summer to fall 2011. I want to stay longer :)))
I asked an international adviser and she said I cannot go summer to fall because I have to work with taking the class. I'm going to take all classes except the internship class by next spring.
So, I thought I should go:
summer=internship
fall=OPT
but the international adviser said it's impossible... :(
I don't wanna think so and she is kinda... mean :(
what do you think about it?
how did everybody go to Disney?
OPT? Internship????
I'm so confused :(((((
3. yes, it is Optional Practical Training, which I can work one year using F1 visa after I graduate college. I meant, I wanna go to Disney for summer as an internship with taking a co-op class, and after the summer semester, I wanna work as OPT. Do you know what I mean...?
ok that's good. because they shut down "International college program" for now, but since you are in the states it really doesnt matter because you wont be recognized as an "International college program student."
I honestly think your advisor is right though..... it is really hard to get a working visa right now. I hope you can get one for your class at least, that's how difficult it is to get one now.
I met several friends who came to work at WDW as a part of program. Some people decided to quit school and stayed because they really liked it. and it is possible to stay there if you work really hard during the program. But I doubt that you can be on "two program (class&OPT) without taking any break. you should either take co-op class somewhere else, than try for OPT at WDW. They are not hiring many ppl right now. Less and less ppl are getting hired. I recommend you to considered that too just in case :)
