東京を拠点に活動するDJ/プロデューサーのALPH ZENとyamatomatoの二人によって結成されたトラック・ユニット、"Basara-ZA"。二人は2000年頃から同じロックバンドのメンバーとして活動。バンド解散後は二人とも急激にダンス・ミュージックに魅了されていき、各々でダンストラックの制作を開始する。再び意気投合した二人は更なる進化を掲げBasara-ZAとして活動をスタート。
Basara-ZAの楽曲はハウス・ミュージックをベースにしながらも様々な音楽的影響を感じさせ、これまでに味わったことのない新たな感動すら与える。それはエレクトリック・ミュージックの今後を予感させるような、まさに近未来サウンド。あらゆる事象を縦横無尽に駆け巡るその音楽性は安易なカテゴライズを許さない紛れもないオリジナル。2009年には2E2L Recordingsから「Broken Woman EP」「Let's Go To Bed EP」「Slip Of The Tongue EP」の3作品を発表。いずれも多方面から好評を博し、今後もシーンの重要レーベルから続々と楽曲リリースを控えている。
またDJとしても各々がageHa、WOMB、UNIT、AIRなど都内主要クラブで活躍しフロアを歓喜の渦に包み込んでいる。他にも、ALPH ZENは都内のビッグ・パーティーでオーガナイザーとして手腕を奮い、yamatomatoはHIP HOP/R&Bのアーティストに楽曲を提供したりとその活動は幅広い。数多くのギグを重ねモンスター級の成長を続けるBasara-ZAの未来は恐ろしいくらいに輝いている。
Basara-ZA is the futuristic House Music duo formed by two nice guys called ALPH ZEN & yamatomato.
They were the members of a certain band (which was Heavy Metal project) once, and evolved the music of own individually more even after the band had broken up. As time passed, they became the captive of the dance gradually, and came to feel the warmth that was almost temperature not a live house in a NIGHTCLUB. In brief, Heavy Metal turned into House Music. They do love HM purely than others do. Dancing with HM in all ages after all.
It's certain that House Music kicks their ass for now. And thus they're gonna sustain the past and the future by the progressive dance music. Two gentlemen called Miss Pagan always tempt you with the quality music, and must do LADY softly in particular. There's a rumor that the tracks they perform seems to be totally a love potion or a sweet candy.
The shit which they began to spin had better taste once !!
