Final Drive Ratio 6.5-7.0 to be “Safe” starting. Motor timing to 20’ ESC Timing to 45’ for the first run, going up to about 50’ Boost on @ 500ms Delay.
17.5 TC is the same, but a few teeth larger on the pinion 6.0 range.
It’s very important to do basic test runs First before you start gearing up, or getting aggressive with the Boost Setting, or the Timing Setting. Check motor Temps, and ESC temps. We usually do not run the fan on the ESC, but we run a fan blowing on the motor. Many TC’s fit the fan “behind” the motor directly on the chassis with double side tape. Works very well to cool the motor after the run to prevent damage while the car sits.
