I finally got on the net! It's been wonderful on the walk. We are about 100 people including stuff.
Day starts with Budhist prayer in the morning from 4:30 then a Indian style cirle (prayer) right befor the walk starts around 7:00.
3-5 miles each walk and 10-20 minutes break between.
It is freezing at night and before sunrise. you need WINTER cloths ,a sleeping bag and a nice mat under your sleeping bag. It's is really very cold.
Also good tent for rain and strong sun.
It is very very hot with sunshine like in summer. Sunblock cream is needed.
druming and songs are every night event. sweat lodge once in a while.
Tomorrow is a rest day and we will have sunrise sweat.
Tonight, Dakota guy sang a sundance song with his beutiful drum beat. Oh, it was superb. Later he shared the story of him that he had not had hearing and speaking till age eight. At a celemony, with his fater's prayerr, he suddnenly got his voice and hearing. At begenning, it was only wispers which was actually his screams. gradualy, he had his voice. Songs were the first thing came out from his mouth not "mom" nor "papa".
He is a living exampl that shows prayers really make miracles happen.
After he finished his singing, he sheard this story to me while we were watching GESSHOKU.
>Reiko-san,
