江戸時代当地域にあった田島山誓願寺が宇佐八幡宮の御神霊分神を勧請して元禄13年（1700年）創建
Tajimayama Seiganji, which was in the Edo period, solicited the spiritual deity of Usa Hachimangu Shrine and was founded in 1700.
明治維新に際して浅草神社の末社に

御祭神は応神天皇

浅草にあるたくさんの町の中で、西浅草二丁目の東町会と西町会の２町会のみが、この八幡神社の氏子として、三社祭と同じ日に、八幡神社大祭を続けている
Of the many towns in Asakusa, only the two town associations of Nishi-Asakusa 2-chome, Higashi-machikai and Nishimachikai, continue the Hachiman Shrine Grand Festival on the same day as the Sansha Festival.
