Hey!
Thanks to all of you who made it to the Blues Bash 2 on Sat, Nov 5th. It was fantastic! We estimated that there was between 2,000 and 3,000 people attending the Bash throughout the day with folks coming from all over the island - Hsinchu, Taichung, Hualien, Kaoshiung - not to mention the international travelers. The bands kicked butt and the weather was great. (We'll be up-dated the www.bsot-bluesbash.info site as soon as we sort through the hundreds of photos.)
Shun Kikuta and Gabriel Gratzer, our international guest artists, both fell in love with Taiwan. They each told me that the BB2 was one of the best festivals they've ever played! (And both have played some very famous festivals - including the Chicago Blues Festival.) They made us promise to bring them back as soon as we could.
The word is spreading that Taiwan is sprouting an honest to goodness Blues scene and all of you, as members of the BSoT, are a part of it. Speaking of which, we had nearly 200 new members sign-up at the Bash. The more the merrier!
I'd like to offer a special word of thanks to all of the Bash volunteers who worked so hard during a very long day. It couldn't have happened without your help. There were also the good-hearted, hard-working folks of the organizing committee who spent days, hours, weeks and months preparing for B-day. You were all great. Words fail...

And we've only just begun! There lots more where that came from. The Blues Bash 3 is already being planned. We've got other projects simmering, too, waiting for the right time and the right people.
