Here's the info you requested regarding the Eichler Escutcheon Kit, w/photos! This is sort of a blanket email that explains some things about the kit. Anyway, my kit is built around Kwikset hardware in a brushed Satin Chrome finish. The escutcheon plate is machined from solid Aluminum, and the finish matches nicely. The Kit includes:Front/Back Doorknob assy.,6" escutcheon plate,5" extension Latchbolt, Strikeplate,Keys,Fasteners,Factory Installation instructions. Assembly is a snap for either you, or, a handyman. Choose from either the "Cone", or the "Globe" style doorknob in the enclosed picture files. Kit pricing is still $140.00 and includes shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Turnaround time is usually 2-3 days, depending on other customers orders. I prefer payment via Paypal (thinkmat@aol.com) but, also welcome Cashier's Checks, Money Orders. Please make payment to: Jonathan Jarrett Thanks again for your inquiry, enjoy the pictures! Jonathan P.S.... Many customers are starting out with a new, blank, solid-core entry door (unhung). My Kit requires the thru-hole to be drilled at the appropriate 5" offset. (center of hole to edge of door).
と、ここまではgeneral infoなのですが、私が4月に初めてコンタクトした際には実は次のような返信がきてしまいました。

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Eichler escutcheon door kit.
Unfortunately, I'm not taking any orders at this moment.
I have some quality control issues I first need to resolve with Kwikset before I can resume production.
Lately, their 6" extension latchbolt(which is integral to my kit) that comes supplied, has been failing (jamming) upon arrival.
This either happens to me during shipping from my supplier, or upon delivery to my customers.
In either case, it's quite frustrating....it has never happened before. I've shipped over 70 kits to date, and
lately I've experienced a rash of failures! The quality and integrity of my kit is one of my chief concerns.
I don't want to jeopardize the kit, or my customers. I hope you understand.
If your still interested, you can check back in the future to see if I ever got this figured out.
Thanks again,
Jonathan.

Thanks for your inquiry regarding my "Eichler" escutcheon door kit.
Currently, I'm out of the escutcheon plates needed to make up the kits!
I'm not really sure when I'll get around to making more, but I do have a lot of requests for the kits. If your still interested, feel free to check back in the future to see where I'm at....production-wise.
The thickness of the slab door should be the standard 1-3/4". Width and height of the door is a non-issue. The door's thru-hole for the knob assy. requires a 5" offset from the edge of the door, to the center of the knob.
Installation is a snap...for either you, or a handyman/contractor.
So far, I only have the one escutcheon plate design in my kit. This one closely resembles the original one manufactured by Sargent, so commonly found in the Eichler tracts. I do plan on developing different designs in the future. (This is just a hobby so far....not really a business!)
