Silje Nergaard released her latest & highly acclaimed album "Unclouded" worldwide in 2012.
These days Silje is planning a trip to South Korea, Taiwan, and Macao performing songs from her whole career including songs from "Unclouded".
"This is perhaps the most intimate and personal album I've made to date", Silje Nergaard says about her new album "Unclouded". The album title speaks volumes about the musical landscape she inhabits: bare and stripped down, accompanied mostly by guitar; and among the guitarists we find Silje paired with some of the world's finest - American jazz legend John Scofield to name but one.
Silje will be touring Asia with her two incredible guitarists (Hallgrim Bratberg and Håvar Bendiksen) for the first time. The tour starts in TAIWAN going to TAICHUNG JAZZ FESTIVAL and then performing a matiné concert i TAIPEI, both on October 27th. After Taiwan they will be heading to MACAO for Macao Music Festival, and ending in SOUTH KOREA at Seoul Arts Center on November 3rd.
Silje says of her guitar ensemble, "Hallgrim and Håvar are two unique guitarists and the artistic intimacy that we have attained over the last 2 years while touring in Europe and Scandinavia has resulted in a unique sensitivity and musical expression that is truly genuine, pure and almost primal. We've dug into to the "core" of every song - the result: My melodies have never been so well defined and illuminated as in this setting. "
We are honored to have been invited to perform in Taiwan, China and Korea and we're truly looking forward to meeting our Asian audience again and making lots of new friends!"
