同じカナダ出身のピーターソンに比べてあまり日本では知られていない
感はあるけど演奏は引けをとりません、アドリブもスウィング感も心地良く
て文句なし!またライブ録音のせいか音と一緒に汗や息づかいみたいな
瑞々しさも感じることが出来るのではないかと個人的には思います♪
fli me to the moonでの演奏は何とも味わい深いものがあります。
hymn to fleedomも力が抜けた感じの楽しさが伝わってきて好きです^^

どこか知的でクールな印象のコニッツ、温かく親しみやすいコニッツ、
誰しもあるんでしょうね、どちらからどちらへ移り変わるときって。
彼の場合はクールからウォームへ、彼の歴史においてもちょうど
このアルバムの頃が過渡期だったのかも知れない。
内容はとても好ましく好感がもてる、愛聴されている方も多いのでは、
コニッツを聴いたことのない方はまずはこれを手にとってみてはと
オススメしたい、そこを経てきたからこその深み、みたいなのがクセに
なります。Limehouse Blues など個人的に好きです。
