------ SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT EBAY ASIA PACIFIC MANAGEMENT
[Primary Internship Responsibilities] We are looking for one summer intern that will focus on the Japanese market. The purpose of the internship is to conduct an overall Internet landscape analysis by tracking interesting Internet companies. The following tasks need to be accomplished within this purpose:
- Identify successful and / or relevant Internet companies - Analyze and monitor companies, including business model, financial structure, key success factors, key challenges, and key metrics - Extract key learnings and overall trends from company analysis - Cluster companies according to relevant factors - Design web landscape format based on clustering and overall trends - Identify key implications for eBay - Develop presentations for executive reviews The main deliverable is a comprehensive set of documents, in powerpoint, excel, and word, presenting the findings. The interns will be managed directly by the Senior Strategy Manager of Asia Pacific Region, based in Seoul in Korea, who will provide guidance and feedback through weekly meetings.
[Job Requirements] - Undergraduate student with strong academic record, preferably approaching his / her senior year - A first class analytical mind with strong abstract and strategic thinking & problem solving capabilities - Native-fluency in written and spoken Japanese, fluency in written and spoken English - Fascination for and understanding of the Internet and new web trends, preferably with track record in blogging, social networking, online gaming, Ecommerce, or other “web 2.0”-like trends
