My name is Cho. I set up this community for
people who want to discuss photography in
English as well as to learn English through
enjoying talking about photography.

I go to a professional photography school in Shibuya,
Tokyo, once a week. I use Nikon F100, D100
and Contax 645.

Nice to neet you! i just join this club. I am not a pro phtographer but I graduated The Art institute of Philadelphia in the year of 2001. So i am interesting this club so much. I hope we get shooting together someday! let`s get crazy!!!! And I will buy used Nicon F5. ( the will cost 100000!) Do you know any cheeper than that?

It's so great that there's a photo club in English!

Hi, I'm currently studying photography in the USA. I hope to make a living out of it. Currently I'm using a Mamiya 7 II. I plan on buying a 4x5 camera in the fall.
I stick to traditional only becaue I love the intimate feeling I get while develloping my prints. My favorite subject is nude. I find the human form a beautiful landscape.
I hope this community will provide me good information on where to buy paper, film, and other photo equip. for cheap. Digital is taking over photography so rapidly traditional has become too expensive. If anybody has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello. I'm Mr. Lion from the United States. ^_^
I am not a professional photographer, but I took photography classes in college years ago. I have continued to take photos, mostly of nature.
The cameras I've used are nothing fancy. Here are my current cameras:
* Fujifilm FinePix 2650 two megapixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom.
* Promaster 2500PK Super with 50mm lens (film camera).

I will start a photograph thread with some of my most recent photographs, taken at a local botanical garden.

Hello all! My name is Curtis and I'm from the USA from the state of Utah, but currently working here in Tokyo. I love taking photos and now I am looking at buying either the Canon 20D or Canon KissN. I'm also looking at buying the 10-22mm lens and maybe the 17-85mm lens too to go with it. <---I think that is the one. So if anyone has any advice about these two cameras and lens and which one you would buy let me know.

Currently shooting a Nikon F50 and also my good old digital Canon PowerShot S30, nothing really to write home about but gets the job done.

Anyways I look forward to reading your mail.

Hello,

My name is Jeff, and I'm from New York. My wife is Japanese, but I'm not a fluent Japanese speaker yet so I'm trying to participate as much as I can on this site in English until I'm comfortable enough with my Japanese ability. So I'm glad to have found this group. I graduated from NYU film school in 1996 and have been doing still photography as a hobby ever since. I'm currently using a Canon Rebel XT but have used all sorts of other cameras in the past, both film and digital, SLR and point-and-shoot.

hello to u all ,finnally I can find a English photography group in mixi.coz I like to enjoy the photo works of Japanese,but I cant understand what they are disclass in the aother photography group,so just look at the works,I feel I was lucky today.hahaa

I have Canon EOS KISS X(Digital Rebel XTi)
I do love photography.
My specialty is landscape and funny signboard.
I use Tokina 12-24mm lens for taking pics of landscape,
28-105mm for regular stuff,
90mm-300mm for taking pics of airplanes.
Someday, I want to be a pro photographer.

Currently, I live in Nagoya as kenkyusei in Nagoya Daigaku majoring robotics engineering and looking forward to explore any places in Japan.

By the way, I am using Nikon D3000 with Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 for short range shot, Nikkor E Series 50mm f1.8 for normal range shot and Nikkor AIS 200mm f4 for long range shot.
Hmmm.. what else?

hello, I am just a novice when it comes to photography, currently using a Kodak EasyShare Z650 with a broken flash (;_;)

I am a student in the US but am looking for jobs as I will graduate next year May. I hope to get a job in Japan and live somewhere :D haha.
